Hey I'll watch the hell out of it and I find it entertaining (Cobra, Over the Top and Tango and Cash are worse and I'll still watch em) but compared to the rest it's just not as good. BTW Creed is pretty damn good.

Duke refers to Apollo as an adopted son. I always took it that Duke took part in raising Apollo not similar to the Rocky/ Micky relationship. It just feels like the younger Creed son would have gone to Duke first or at least mentioned that Duke sent him to Rocky.
Just show the grave next to Adrians', huh? Thanks. Just curious, did anyone else learn of Rocky due to Michelangelo's impersonation of him in the 1990 film? Being a preschooler thrn I was not aware of the series yet.

Cubed makes the beginner's error of judging Rocky like it's a regular movie series, instead of Rocky.
That character is so strong you could make 100 movies and people would ask for more. I mean, everyone knows that "technically" IV and V don't hold up as well as the first three... but that's totally NOT true if you watch them all in a row, in the same day/weekend. In THAT scenario, by the time Rocky beats communism to death with his bare (gloved) hands you actually wish there were twenty more movies to watch. And "Rocky Balboa" is amaaaaazing. I actually got laid today while Rocky IV was on in the background. Not by design, it just happened that way.

Creed is really really good.
One of those 'This is a totally fitting full circle end to the series but if they went ahead and did 4 more that's fine too' movies.

Looks like I get another film worth a damn to watch. I'll probably go see this film in a few days after the school week is over.
Question though: I've heard Paulie died, did they bring the cause of death up?

Darn it. Thanks Stryker, just grateful for another Rocky film. Who knows, maybe it'll pick up it's own series.

Probably just of old age. But if I were to bet on it, he was a drunk, so maybe alcohol poisoning.
Proof that the message that Rocky gave in Rocky Balboa still rings true: "It ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward." Rocky isn't in the ring anymore, but he's obviously still getting hit. Creed was a pure example of that.

I wholeheartedly agree. Also loved all the real boxer cameos in this movie, I was geeking out the entire time I recognized someone new (One of which was from Philly).

I'm really looking forward to seeing it. Hopefully soon.
If anyone wants to spoil for me exactly how Apollo has an illegitimate son, feel free. I mean I'm guessing it's probably just some, "He cheated on his wife, he was a star athlete, nobody's perfect" type of scenario, but feel free to enlighten me. I just know that if it's something like that, my wife is probably gonna throw a fit over it, and I'm never gonna be able to watch a Rocky movie again without her calling Apollo an asshole. Anyways I've been curious about that and I haven't seen anything anywhere so feel free to clue me in.

Any mention of Apollo's older son and daughter seen in the background of Rocky II and IV?

Still time to mention them if they go the sequel route. I think this was just a test run to see how audiences would react to the continuation. Of course, it was a positive reaction, so I'm hoping that make a sequel.

Is Michael B. Jordan playing his age 27/28 or is the Adonis character younger?
