Awesome to hear, Duckie. I really do want to see it because it looks fantastic but I don't know if we'll get to. Might have to wait until it's on DVD.

Happy maker: Got to see my sis today and had a nice visit with her.

Finally got around to doing something I should've done months ago: Work on getting my original story characters copyright protected. It's a work in progress, and money's gonna be tight at the moment as I'm still currently unemployed and living merely off SSI and food stamps, but at the same time I feel like this is the right thing to do. Having watched a film on the early exploits of Walt Disney, before he made it big with Mickey Mouse, I've come to realize I need to quit letting people put a finger in my face and tell me what I can and cannot do with my life!!!

Technically two days of happy, but ce la vie.

Spent the night at my boyfriends house - without funny business, but we did share a sleeping space. Mostly played Breath of the Wild and a VR game, and we tried to get me caught up on One Piece through the anime, but I had already read everything that we watched.

And then we saw Beauty and the Beast earlier today, and now I'm home.

Had another nice visit with my sis and discussed a possible job opportunity tutoring kids in China in English. I think it sounds pretty cool and might become something eventually, but for now I'm pretty busy taking care of my dad. Still, I can get paid nineteen dollars an hour and that's not bad. You do it from your computer via web cam.

Meant to post this last night, but I was pooped from a long car ride. I got to see some relatives at my cousins' house who were in to visit. Sadly, the get-together was on a bit of a bittersweet note as an uncle of mine just passed away. Still, it was his time and the get-together itself didn't directly correlate with his passing. He's actually being cremated and his funeral services will be held next month.

The hunt for Planet 9.

https://www.zooniverse.org/projects/skymap/planet-9

Whether it exists or not, its kinda fun playing junior astronomer from home, looking though the images and marking possible objects the experts might want to look into.

Made huge headway on my game. Pretty sure I'm at the "second half". Though, I finally did have to call it quits on a particular segment that was driving me up a wall...until I saw written instructions that made more sense than the video walkthrough.

So that "Planet 9" thing I last mentioned...

In short, it's a bunch of astronomers running a project looking for moving objects in space. They have several million photos - taken with various color filters to help moving objects stand out - and therefor have allowed the public to help pinpoint the images worth their attention while others are retired if enough people mark 'no.'

The objects people are looking for generally show up as red, blue, and green dots of various sizes.

But Tues. night I found this one oddly pale yellow one. I've not seen any others like it. A researcher who is also helping monitor the forum for it looked at other images and determined that it isn't a moving object... but still very interesting.

Here's the image and the further info he replied with this evening:

Spoiler:

I trimmed out the other comments, but when the guy first responded, he'd looked at another image and saw that it was not missing from it (and therefor not a moving object), BUT it was nearly 10x fainter.

So, according to him now, I may have spotted a previously uncataloged "Mira Variable" star. The fact that they slowly pulsate would account then for why it picked up the yellow color filter while the other surrounding stars did not.

This is the ONLY one of these I've seen in these images, so even if it isn't a moving object as is their aim to find, that's still kind of awesome imo.

Lol my hubby watches that during his dialysis treatments. Then he comes home and compares the cats on there to ours. (Our two are thankfully very well behaved.)
