Pretty good episode overall. The preview for the next one looks sick, can't wait for it.

Spoiler:
I think the horseman is the vision of what Jack could become if he lets revenge and darkness take over his quest.

XCII: That was awesome, well worth the 13 year wait.

I'm digging Jack's new weapons, hope he gets his sword back soon though.

Aku had kids? *shudders*

I'm amazed that lady even managed to stand up after giving birth to 7 babies and give a bit speech. Let alone survived.
Take a nap, girl.

It looks like Aku has disappeared for whatever reasons we'll find out later...but that's probably for the best. If he stuck around, then it would he'd Dad Jokes: Shapeshifting Master of Darkness edition.
Ashi gives me some serious Karai vibes too. Well, they all do. But Ashi most of all. I also get the feeling that all their names start with "A".
Now, who else do we know who has seven daughters whose name starts with "A" and has pointy stuff on his head?

Just finished.
The animation!
The voice acting!

JACK'S BACK!

I love how brutal these cartoons are. Especially given their comparatively simple line work.

Really kind of digging the Mad Max vibe that Jack's got at the moment.
So good!

I love how they got Sab Shimono back as Jack's dad. He's 80 years old.

its about that time

Lets go back to the past and see some robot destruction

EDIT: what the fuuuu. How can you end the episode like thatttt!?1? But good episode.

A little dissapointed he only slit her throat. That shoulda sliced her head clean off. The previews made this episode look better but i thought it was still good. Next week looks sick. Wish i didnt miss an episode of dragon ball super otherwise this would be a great lineup. But once i miss an episode i cant watch until i'm caught up and theres no way for me to do that

It was a fantastic and action packed episode from start to finish. Also loved the early scene with Aku.

XCIII: Aku waking up and putting his eye flames in was a stroke of genius.

That whole chase between Jack and Aku's daughters was intense. I was actually unsure how Jack was gonna make it out. Well done, Gendy.

I'm happy they're keeping a balance of humor in the show. Aku and "his therapist" was hilarious.

My favorite thing about the Aku scene is that the Cult made it sound like he zipped off to another dimension, but nope. He's just pouting in his cave .

I really loved the reference to The Good, The Bad and The Ugly in the last episode

wow

Best episode yet, aside from the ending but they havent steered us wrong yet so interested to see where they go with this. And i like the call back to his fathers saying but i wish that flashback was in an earlier episode to.give it more. Impact/kick

How many times should Jack have died in this episode? Let me count the ways...but considering how quickly his stab wound healed, there must be something supernatural to his survival, as well as his inability to age.

The scene with the deer was a really nice touch. But I really wasn't expecting to lose numbers on the Daughters so quickly.

I had kind of hoped they would be lost slowly, even as we learned their individual names and personal talents - even if they were trained not to be individuals. I have some severe disappointment in how early they were eliminated, especially after all the hype and buildup for what a threat they'd be.
It should make for interesting setup of disappointment from the Cult of Aku that the Daughters failed to kill him pretty much immediately, and have only one brainwashed soul left to their name.

But the snow chase scene.
WOAH.

XCIV: Brilliant episode. This season really does show just how beautiful traditional 2D animation can still be.

It reminded me of Episode XXXV: Jack and the Haunted House, my favourite episode from the first 4 seasons.

really gives you hope for "rise of the teenage mutant ninja turtles" doesn't it?

really enjoying this series so far. admittaedly i've haven't seen the ENTIRE run, but the ones i've missed are so few and far between it'd be more hassle tracking down specific episodes to catch up that it wouldn't make sense or be worth it. This is by far the best it's been though.

As long as you saw all the main plot episodes involving Jack and Aku you should be fine.
