So. Wondering what's replacing Clone Wars? Why Star Wars Rebels is!
Star Wars Rebels takes place between Episodes III and IV. Quote:

Good to see Greg Weisman has a new series after Young Justice was canceled. The Weisman curse will strike again though and I am sure this show will be canceled with no conclusion like Young Justice, Spectacular Spider-Man and Gargoyles.
Greg Weisman will be screwed again like always. It is the Weisman curse. |

Hmm, cant say im really into star wars tv series and im not exactly looking forward to this. I thought Disney wanted to decrease the over-saturation of star wars media.

Cool. I thought the clone wars was a fun ride. I'll definitely give this a chance. I'm interested in this era of star wars and it seems a bit under-explored.

Wait, if Luke is the only jedi in Return of the Jedi. Does that mean Kanan and Ezra are dead?
Mind=blown. |

Maybe the final episode of Rebels can end just like Blake's Seven did... now THAT would be something!

The Plagueis theory was denied by J.J., so I don't know. I guess you can't really take his word since he denied Khan would be in Star Trek: Into Darkness. |

According to this report, Grand Admiral Thrawn is set to appear in Season 3.
http://makingstarwars.net/2016/01/ru...bels-chistory/ It was only a matter of time before he was introduced into the new canon. The guy reporting this is the one that released the full plot/summary of TFA almost a year in advance and that Ahsoka was Fulcrum in S1 so he's pretty reliable. |

Hopefully make him a bit younger than the EU version for the timeline, so who knows... maybe we could see him appear in Ep8

How long does Thrawn's alien species live for? He could potentially still be "young" and alive in Episode 8-9.

I'm not sure it's ever said. HttE is set five years after Jedi, and with Rebels set before ANH, means that Thrawn should be... say ten years younger here than written in the books. Not that much different. Won't be a Grand Admiral mind you... if they do, then that's a silly mistake despite the EU being null and void now. If you're gonna borrow, at least make it consistent.
Thus you're looking at roughly 35 years between Rebels and The Force Awakens.

Have you read Aftermath? They seem to set up that Thrawn's coming.
I think it would be pretty cool to set up a young Thrawn in Rebels, continue his story in the Aftermath trilogy and then finish him off in Ep VIII or IX. |
