Pretty sure its deadpool. The videos description states that deadpool will be in the movie while theres no mention of Deathstroke.

It's Deathstroke, and next to him is Harley Quinn.

About that "Turtle" it's not a Turtle, it's one of the main character's Avatar, it's just a generic Ninja, nothing more.

Yeah, I thought that was Harley. Kind of a... Arkham Knight Harley, though.

I'm curious to see them translate the book to the screen, especially given the fact that the book has the ability to name drop a wider variety of geek properties than the movie will ever be allowed to.
When Spielberg was announced to direct, it made me super happy because he's the only guy in Hollywood with the clout to get even half the Easter egg cameos into the film.

Neither, I don't think. Just another gunter (egg hunter) in the OASIS rather than an intended reference.

However, http://www.cbr.com/ready-player-one-...first-trailer/ I could be wrong. It says it's Harley and Deathstroke and their image it definitely does look like Harley, so Deathstroke would make sense.

I'm thinking maybe it's both. Two gunters who designed avatars to look like their favorite comic characters. Might be the same for the freddy Krueger and duke nukem looking guys in the trailer too since I don't remember the book mentioning any a.i. versions of characters roaming around outside of their simulated world's but I could be wrong its been awhile since I read it.
About the original post that's definitely not a turtle. My guess is its a random avatar or either shoto or daito two characters that are important to the story. In one of the breakdown videos I watched a dude did say he saw a tmnt floating in the anti gravity club scene though but I couldn't make it out myself. That's actually why I clicked on this thread I thought maybe someone had a clearer picture

So, maybe Spielberg should try a TMNT film?

Spielberg's films today aren't really kids films. A Spielberg TMNT of today wouldn't be kiddie orientated. It would probably be political and violent.

Are we certain that the trailer didn't show us the totality of the Iron Giant's screentime in the movie?

It seems like people are setting themselves up for disappointment in this.

Yeah, we've already seen all we're gonna see of 95% of these characters. Anyone thinking otherwise is a fool.
