Thanks, Floatingyeti, breaking the list down further into cameos/interviews/etc. is a great idea, and one I had planned on implementing.

I'll make the necessary adjustments in due time.

I have a question on these 2 entries:

# TMNT Volume One (Tundra)
# TMNT Volume One, Two, Three, Four (Archie)

aren't the publishers on these 2 switched? I though archie only had one volume collecting the mini series (not recent heroes in a halfshell) and tundra had the four volumes.

Actually, I think those might all be from Tundra-- they printed two Volume One TPBs. The V1 edition specifically for comic shops collected more issues and had a framing/origin recap story not found in the other volumes.

Hats off to Sam for the ebay find, but we have confirmed the existence of an error variant of the Jetpack cover of IDW TMNT#1. It's orange.

Jetpack confirmed legitimacy via email today.

The claimed print run is 400.

Hopefully I get an Orange one in the mail when I get my books. Only problem is, without having a regular to compare it to, it might be hard to idendify it. Lighting might play a role too. I wonder how orange it actually is.

Good point. I hope someone can take a side by side picture of the 2 together at some point, where we can see if it's really orange or just a kind of faded red.

...You mean like the picture of exactly that 2 posts up?

Yes, it's a scan not a photo, but that's perfect lighting nonetheless.

Welp, I finally hit the max length in the first post, so I'll be editing the second spot to store information as it comes. It will probably get filled faster as IDW produces several variants for each book.

Another installment in the TMNT parody chronicles--

Innovation's Ack the Barbarian (1991) gave the world

Yes, the Tinage Mutilator Ninjer Ducks:

Curlynardo, Moephael, and Larrytello attack Ack for stealing money that kids just throw at them

But ultimately Ack employs magical trickery and defeats the Ninjer Ducks

Amazing Heroes #82 to Appearances. Leonardo on the cover.
Gnatrat Lives to Appearances
Infestation 2 Ashcan to IDW
Wacky Squirrel #1 to Appearances (Turtle Cameo. Taxidermed TMNT head on wall)
The Birds, the Bees, and the Turtles (Did we get rid of this? I could have sworn in was already on the list)
Words and Pictures Museum Presents Turtles: Back... In Time

Storm Drain Savers

Please Edit:
Digital Webbing Presents. Our listing currently states 3 covers. There are 4. The TMNT cover, The Fist of Justice Cover, The Mask of the Gargoyle Cover, and The Mask of the Gargoyle Sketch Cover.

Someone should rack up all the main issues, variants, appearances etc. everything both in this thread and out of it to know how many books total those turtle boys have been in. Can only imagine...

That's sort of what we are doing.

Let me rephrase that.

Go to the first two posts, count them, tell me the number.

I've never heard of this one before. Could you please tell more about it? What's its story (one based on the Turtles in Time game, or maybe something involving Renet)?

A few minor corrections...

The Turtles were only in the first issue of Mars Attacks Image, and not in the rest. All the others listed above aren't comic stories, BTW, they're either instructional material (the How-to-Draw and training manuals), behind the scenes guides (the TMNT 2003 series Sourcebook, TMNT 2007 Film sneak peek book and I guess the Independent Comic Sampler), or art-books/pin-ups (Phantasy Against Hunger, Turtlemania, Cowabunga Comics, the Portfolios)

I think Heroic was just a fanzine with some interviews with the Mirage guys.

I'd personally file these under misc. TMNT stories. Despite their satirical nature, not only did Eastman and Laird approve the Turtles' appearances in these books, they also drew in the Turtles in each of the comics.

The Swimsuit Special and Comics Arena probably best fit in the Pin-Ups section, and the Comics Revue stuff should perhaps be in the misc. TMNT comic stories section (since they reprint the TMNT weekly comic strip).

Alright guys, I have a placeholder ready on the first page to break down the Miscellaneous section down. Since this is murky waters, I'm sure a lot of shuffling will happen in the post.

I'll have a look through the last few pages later and try to make initial adjustments.

Thanks for helping out folks!
