They renewed Arrow for a fifth season after the nuclear meltdown that has been season four. I expect this to have the same mindless audience.

Oh, man...
I have no real attachment to Archie as I never really read any growing up, but... This can't be right

I hear his recent reboot comics are pretty good.

Reboot? Did Archie not end in the 70's or whenever? How is it still a thing? Wasn't it all soda jerks and old cars?

Oh no. I'm starting to sound like CyberCubed.

The reboot, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (where Betty and Veronica are lesbian witches), Afterlife With Archie (zombie plague! Blame Reggie. It's litterally his fault), Life With Archie: Married Life
Spoiler:
which ended with Archie being shot to death
, Archie vs Predator
Spoiler:
nearly everyone dies in the most greusome ways!
ALL are just awesome... This tho....this is... a bind bending WTF.

I'll just think of it as part of the established Archie multi-verse that was introduced in Life With Archie: Married Life. It's not the traditional Archie, it's just...something else.

Nah, man. They rebooted him last year and made it all modern and stuff. I actually read a panel from it and it was actually pretty funny.

Last I heard they got Mark Waid aboard the book, so that's a plus.

Archie's marriage ends with Betty or Veronica double-tapping him in the skull?

Geez. Apparently this "Riverdale" isn't such a grimdark departure as I thought.

Won't someone think of the CHILDREN!?

No, he dies saving the life of a gay friend of his.

The married life stories spun out of an arc from the 600th issue of Archie which explored two realities where he married Betty and Veronica. The anniversary arc actually has a more optimistic ending with Archie having kids with them (though I only bought the ones where he and Betty had a family because I 'ship them mostly), which I don't think the ongoing married life books managed to reach

No. Married life was 2 different stories set in 2 Earth's that kinda met in a COIE type event that only a couple people remember (Mr. Lodge for one). But it ended the same on both earth's
Spoiler:
with Archie diving into the line of fire to save the life of Kevin Keller (who had become a senator who's stance was more gun control after his husband was shot by a burgler ).
The last 6 or 7 years Archie comics has been more and more dark with all the insane storylines. Heck Afterlife introduced twinsest into the mix with Cheryl and Jason. "Riverdale" also implies twinsest. The characters in the trailer going "Are you ready" and holding hands are twins Jason and Cheryl....

Twins always get singled out for kinky stuff in stories these days... I can just imagine a pair of twins in real life getting frustrating and yelling "WE DON'T DO INCEST! OR THREESOMES!"

Wow, I really DO sound like Cubed.

Well what did you think of shows like The Tomorrow People, Hellcats, and The Secret Circle? Those CW shows lasted for just one season.

Haven't even heard of them. I only watch The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.

The Tomorrow People at least gave us Robbie Amell...But yeah it's one failure for Berlanti. Hellcats was basically Ashley Tisdale trying to get away from Disney...by being a fricken cheerleader.

Secret Circle I had to look up as I didn't remember it at all...totally forgetful.

I watched all three shows from their beginning to their end. Hellcats was a different case though. I'd DVR it, and then play the episodes back and only watch scenes with Ashley Tisdale in them.

I can still see Riverdale getting one full season at the most. It starts, and then the CW orders a full season, and then cancels it next spring.

Robin Givens has been cast as Sierra McCoy, mother of Josie McCoy (lead singer of Josie and the Pussycats) and mayor of Riverdale.

Shannon Purser (Barb in “Stranger Things”) has been cast as Jughead's stalker (in the comics), Ethel Muggs (altho apparantly she's got a different love interest in the show).

Despite this, I wonder if Jughead will still be asexual like he was confirmed to be in the comic book series.
