I recently watched Primus' video for, "Wynona's Big Brown Beaver" and my daughter walked in and told me she hated it. So I put on, "Mr. Krinkle" instead. She walked away before I put on, "My Name is Mud."
Kids.

You've gotta massage the younger generation into these things... I would've started with Those Damn Blue Collar Tweekers instead.

I found out that I can make my son listen to anything I like, even super-heavy music with growl vocals. My daughters on the other hand will immediately dismiss anything as „dad music“, our three-year old will sometimes start to cry.

Listening to the new re-pressing of Brian May and Friends "Starfleet Project" at the moment. I've had the original vinyl pressing for some time now, but they just re-released it on CD through the Van Halen store, so I had to grab it.

I've been on a "The Jesus and Mary Chain" deep dive. Currently making my way through real exposure of "Psychocandy" and will move on to "Darklands" in due order.

Built a 90's alt rock playlist I've been meaning to do for decades
Right now it's "Novocaine for the Soul" by the Eels. Next up.... No Rain Cannonball The Impression That I get Sex & Candy Flagpole Sitta Closing Time and so on.... Right now it's only about 30 tracks, but it could easily be a 100 track playlist of one and two-hit 90's wonders. |

No appreciation of "Heavy Hometown New Wave" whatsoever.
