I get more of a sense that April is giving Donatello a lift, since he seems to be a relaxed position and she seems to be doing the driving.
Are the other turtles supposed to be flying through the air through their own power or are they just really good at jumping stylistically?

Yeah, them seem to jumping over that bridge, probably just for the poster though. I know I shouldn't pass judgement at this time but I don't think I like these turtles. To me this just looks like those TMNT shorts which Nick' released a while back.

Well I was wrong about the belt buckles.
They're not yin-yang symbols, but rather the symbol from the title card we've seen already. Interesting. I do like Raph having the clubs, because I'd rather him have an effective weapon than his traditional one. Pointy makes far less sense when you don't actually take advantage of the pointy. Plus, it's a nice throwback to the comics. The designs on Mike's kneepads make me smile. Don looks way better in his solo pic than he does in the group shot. Given that, I have a feeling that all of these designs will look better in motion, than in stills. As I've said else-thread, Splinter is again my least favorite design, but...some good characterization will smooth that over right quick.

My post from the other convoluted thread:
I hope the turtles are shown as having already lived for a while, I don't want their first adventure to be this mystic quest. No origin story a la TNM. Quote:

That's why I said pointy and not sharp, but in most incarnations they've been used as stabbing weapons in spite of the fact that they're not traditionally used that way.

That Splinter is terrible.
The Turtles? ... Eh. It's better than PD, but worse than 2k12. I can definitely see the Samurai Jack influence, though, which is cool. I wasn't going to watch it anyway. Enjoy.

One thing I've noticed in that group shot is that every Turtle is apparently utilizing/accessing magical, mystical energy through their weapon... except Donnie, whose tech-shell (that he apparently wears over his soft-shell) turns into a hoverbike of some kind, which it looks like he's letting April drive/steer.
I wonder if Donnie being resistant to mystical/spiritual phenomena is going to be a major plot point in this show, and also to what extent they're gonna go Inspector Gadget with his tech-shell

I've been watching the live stream on Facebook.
They stated that Donnie, being a soft shelled turtle, will compensate with an array of different mech shells, at least one of which may have a "personality". So Donnie Stark + JARVIS = Iron Turtle |

So, Don is kind of a cripple in this series?

These are very generic 10 minute designs using retro style from chris hart books, i dont like them at all and this girl name should also be changed if they changed her race, its dumb diversity problem in media and they should figure it out without having to insult white people, how black people would feel if april was black since the beginning and after 20 years they change her race to white to fix diversity in cartoons, thats just really dumb and insulting, if they need black girl just give her her own name and have april and her and even some asian girl, whatever but that is not april.
Theres nothing wrong with different races but what if suddenly they made biopic about bruce lee being caucasian or mike tyson being chinese. This is not black woman and her facial features are caucasian, i know in later comics they had her changed but its just bizarre.

Can't say I like the animation style. They have the opportunity to do a 2D cartoon again and it looks pretty dull, very ceeerazy for the sake of it. Not terrible but very underwhelming.

The more and more I look at the designs, I am starting to accept them and even appreciate them. The only one I can't stand is splinter
He needs some work

I am not a fan of the designs at all. They look cool as fan art but I wouldn't want to watch a series that looks like this. The story and everything else might be great and I hope that it is, but based on just the look alone I am unenthusiastic.
