They will probably be in it, the movie changes some things, such as the monsters being animals instead of humans.

Here's the Synopsis.

Primatologist Davis Okoye (Johnson), a man who keeps people at a distance, shares an unshakable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent, silverback gorilla who has been in his care since birth. But a rogue genetic experiment gone awry mutates this gentle ape into a raging creature of enormous size. To make matters worse, it’s soon discovered there are other similarly altered animals. As these newly created alpha predators tear across North America, destroying everything in their path, Okoye teams with a discredited genetic engineer to secure an antidote, fighting his way through an ever-changing battlefield, not only to halt a global catastrophe but to save the fearsome creature that was once his friend.

lol...

Well sh**. I know that Rampage isn't particularly a sacred cow (or maybe it is?) but... isn't Rampage's whole thing that it's normal people becoming the monsters and tearing stuff up? Sounds like this could be fun but why even call it Rampage?

That promo poster is very KONG. Or at least Mighty Joe Young. I was hoping they could have gone a bit crazier with it. I mean, did any NES game have better box art than the Rampage port?

I hope they don't f-ck it up, I mean is it really that hard? It's giant monsters fighting for no reason and destroying cities. As long as they don't take it too seriously and it's just fun it'll be great, The Rock being there helps me think they know what type of movie it should be. Yeah the monsters not being human kind of sucks but I can overlook it if the tone of the movie is right.

The games have always been fun, they're not meant to be the best games ever but just arcade fun.

Almost like the street fighter movie not being about a tournament but about rescuing kidnapped hostages and.... ohhhhh...

And subsequently failing miserably at the box office.

That's dumb. Whether they were humans or animals to begin with didn't matter at all. It's not like the series had any cohesive lore that people worship.

Day oneing this in theaters.

well the reason i want humans instead of animals is just for source material sake, but bc it is a new twist on the whole monster universe, there just not another animal/monster on the loose. The monsters actually being human adds a layer of depth and even makes them more relatable to the audience. They could also play a lot with the idea of emotional backlash and consequences of their actions in there monster form.

I cannot believe there is enough material for this to make a movie about George, Ralph, and Lizzie. I remember it as the game that never ended. Was there a ginal level? I remember playing the PlayStation version and had tired after the 160th city.

Is there a legit simulator that could be PMed? I have not played this in 15 years.

I remember playing it on the NES for many hours, it never ended, it got to the point where I stopped playing after playing so many levels.

There was a sequel that came out on Wii, PlayStation 2, and GameCube called "Rampage: Total Destruction", it had a lot more monsters, and had better graphics at the time.

That's got nothing on the Playstation ones, which were the best of 'em all as far as I'm concerned.

Would have liked it better if it was humans turning into the monsters like the actual game.

Are you talking about Rampage: World Tour? If so ... I LOVED that game on my Nintendo 64 and that was actually the very first game I ever played when we got our N64.

Hell yeah! The subsequent sequels, Universal Tour & Through Time as well. Coolest graphics, edgy material tossed in, simple but fun stories. Love 'em.

The Wii joint is decent but the style of monster design is insaaaaanely off-putting to me. They look so ugly, & not in a cool gruesome way, but a wack one.
