It's not just Playmates that has cut back on articulation though. Hasbro and Kenner both have too. I'm not sure what the trend or thinking is but GI Joe, Star Wars, and The Avenger line are all having articulation cut back unless you go for the adult collector figures.

Anyway I'm also posting my review of the Shredder now. He is by far my favorite Shredder we have ever gotten.

Cool though it sounds like he is really lacking in articulation.

He really is. I mean, it's just sad. He can't move his head, and he BASICALLY can only stand in one stance (unless you're just really good at posing).

And looking good Hero. Keep updating, and I'm going to come back whenever you do.

Is he fun to play with?

I haven't gotten a chance to really play or pose. I'll have that chance whenever I'm able to review him. I'll get a better feel for him then. But my first impression was that you wouldn't be able to do much with him. He is imposing, though. Either he or Kraang is the tallest at 5.25". Of course you know that Mikey is the shortest at 4.25".

I've stuck with preferring 2003 Shredder in overall design and wasn't pleased when I first saw the Nick toy. After having given him a better look and reading your review, I'm more or less convinced - at least enough to go out and buy the figure (after I get the Turtles, of course).

I can already see the custom paints of Splinter being spectacular. It seems that everyone is lacking for detail and articulation, not overall design.

No problem there, I've already got you bookmarked. If you add something where I can start following you instead of just bookmarking, I'll follow you.

I plan on starting my video review tonight. I don't think shooting it is going to be the hard part. The hard part is going to be the editing. I remember making my stop motion video was brutal. The music, the sounds, the framerate, all too damned tedious. But I'm at least going to start on it.

After I finish each individual review, I'll post them, then when I get it completely done, and put on my website, I'll post the link to it.

I know by the time I get it all done, reviews will have gotten old, but hey, I'm pretty much doing it for me.

That's how I feel. My blog is about my views of the TMNT and the news that comes out. I hope to make it more legit as time goes on, but for now it is just for fun.

Thank you guys. I'm working at making them good. I hope people start following me I'm opinionated so I'm sure there will start to be a lot on there. At least that's the hope. Up next Donnie! Hope to have him up in the next little bit, about 20 min or so.
