I appreciate the sentiment but come on, man, you're above saying "feels".

It's a weird contradiction but I can't help but feel that way.
If they were never released, what's there to feel dirty about? Just go that route for the underground stuff.

Breath of the Wild is literally too big. I've stopped exploring and am just following the quest markers on the map. I almost wish Nintendo condensed the size of the overworld by 50% or something, there really is a lot of barren land here.

But if they would've done that then people would've complained about it being too small.

The game is so huge that even reducing it by 50% would still be a huge mass of land bigger than most other open world games. The game is that big.

It's really not that barren, there's lots to fight, find, explore, climb. Also with being able to use shrines as a teleport it makes it easier to get where you need to go if you dint feel like exploring.

There's a lot of empty space in the fields and desert areas. I don't mind too much, but I guess this is where all the shrines are hidden.

I appreciate feeling a tad overwhelmed or intimidated by the size of it, but I don't mind that there are "barren" areas or whatever. Finding something everywhere seems a bit, I dunno, unrealistic? The element of exploration would feel less authentic if you're not actually having to look around for the right spots. Sometimes you work your ass off to get to a peak where there's absolutely nothing, & that's okay! Part of the fun is never knowing what you'll find.

I just find it hard to believe anyone would go through the trouble of finding 900 Korok seeds. Even just 100 of them in a vast world of this would be crazy, but 900? There's no way anyone could even track those all down without a guide.

Hell I'd love to find all 120 Shrines too, but i get the feeling I wouldn't be able to discover them all without looking them up in a guide online.

Are there actually 900 seeds? Holy sh*t. Yeah, I will at least say that the idea of fully completing everything is crazy.

So damn fun though, I've never been more immersed in a game. I lose hours in what feels like 30 mins.

From what I've looked up, yes. 120 Shrines is also quite a lot. From what I've seen so far none of the shrines have repeat/rehashed puzzles though, which is what I was fearing due to the sheer mass of them. Some of the combat-oriented ones are repeated, but that's all I've seen so far.

I'd love to do all the shrines, but as said, I'm willing to bet there's no way to find them all without an online guide. I'll try to find as many as I can by myself though before looking up where they all are.

Even though I've owned the Wii U pro controller for years, I've only begun using it recently and it sucks. It's definitely one of the worst controllers Nintendo has ever made, with the Wii U gamepad being second. The two sticks at the top might work for some games like shooters, don't really know but every other game including retro games suck because of it. Playing VC games with it is awful and modern games don't fare much better. The buttons are just too low and if you do change your hand to grab them better the L and R buttons are no longer in a comfortable position. Even though the gamepad has a similar layout it's not that bad there and games play much better there, too bad it's a huge hulking controller that in most games it serves no purpose which makes it inferior to a regular controller.

I hope the Switch pro controller is better, the Wii and Wii pro controllers were both fine, not great for 3D games but 2D games worked perfectly, only downside was the cable. The Wii U pro controller just fails at both.

I'm on the fence about the Switch, I've got a 3ds I don't even use. However could always get rid of that and make Switch my Nintendo handheld

You beat it fully? Did you go for all 120 shrines? I wouldn't stop playing till I found them all, or use a guide to track them down. The puzzles in them are so good I want to do them all.

I have 15 shrines to go, twelve of which are quests, so only three left out in the world.
