Well, these certainly came out of nowhere! Most definitely gonna pick 'em up, though, as I have a couple Figuarts in my collection already and they're usually quite nice. It's also great to have Japanese collector-grade TMNT figures without cruddy Revoltech joints. Maybe if we're lucky, they may even continue the line with more characters and we can FINALLY get that accurate OT Shredder.

Playmates, eat your ****ing hearth out. SH Figuarts Turtles, that is amazing.

Got no need for those oversized "Classics" Playmates farted out anymore. Hoping for a Shredder to join them. A 6 inch Shredder is long overdue.

Awesome. Figuarts is making some awesome stuff lately for a lot of properties.

And yeah, these capture the actual look/feel of the Classic Toon Turtles way better than Playmates.

And they're a much better price point than the other high-end collectible figures.

Hopefully Figuarts will do Shredder, Krang, Splinter, Bebop, and Rocksteady at least.

So, with all these new figures - will anyone bother with Playmates and their garbage anymore?

When did First Gokin release images of their Turtles figures, Shredder isn't even finalized yet.

Or are you thinking about the 1/6th scale figures from Dream-EX, which was displayed next to the First Gokin under NYCC? Cause that's not the same company nor even the same scale.

Sweet, thanks for the heads up! I'll buy them from there then most likely. If these are around the $50 price you guys are mentioning, I will be satisfied. There are so many cool TMNT figures coming out right now and it has been tough to keep up. I'm not complaining though, I love seeing new awesome stuff like these!! I'll have to start saving for these guys though because they look so freakin cool! I actually might sell my loose Classic Collection Raph rather than find the other three now that these are going to be released. I really want a line that doesn't stop after the four turtles (or bebop and rocksteady!) that are in the OT style.

These look great! Definitely digging the show accurate look. So cool that they listened! I've seen people on other site saying that they're afraid we might just get the TMNT and not Shredder, but the fact that they did Bowser in the Super Mario Brothers line gives me hope that we'll at least see Shredder.

i just mean in general, the first gokin shredder looks overstylized so i could imagine theyd do the same with their turtles. the playmates turtles were so close yet so far. the sh figuarts turtles looks spot on how they suppose to look, with the tiny exception of the outer rim around the front plastron shell. the best looking ot turtles so far. now if we could just get them to eliminate the outer rim around the plastron, well be 100% golden!!!

Fred Wolf Turtles had/have the same rim if I'm not mistaken or misunderstanding you.

These look incredible!! I never finished my loose set of the Classic Collection turtles by Playmates. Perhaps these will do the trick hehe

I wonder what kind of dough these things will cost? I'm guessing they will be pretty steep, eh?

TMNTMan, Barnes and Noble? That'd be nice if they do indeed sell these there! I don't have a clue about this brand but I have noticed that Barnes and Noble is more like a toy store now a days. I saw a Batman figure there that was over $50 too so I guess they do sell high end. Thanks for the heads up!

Another pic

They look much better here. For those wondering about the scale SHF are 6 inch scale though these turtles look around 6 inches, they should still be smaller than the Playmates classics but a little bigger than the Revoltech. A bit bummed that Mikey's nunchuks don't have a chain though.

Tutles fans have a lot to look forward to this year whether its the new video game, OT toys, figures and licensed stuff in general, IDW, the cartoon and new movie not looking bad.

Judging from the other SH Figuarts figures I have, I'm guessing 6" scale and around $50 each from Japanese distributors like HLJ.
