I'm sure Sorna will get a throw away line in the movie but I doubt it'll be referenced much. Now that Nublar is being destroyed in JW// that means maybe for /// we can return to Sorna. 3 movies in Nublar and 3 in Sorna would be poetic.

Also Jurassic World 3 would have to find a way to close out this trilogy, and offer some closure.

It would kind of suck if Jurassic Park 6 was just, "Now, back to the other island!"

At some point they need to get the movies out of these same two islands. Which isn't to say that the direction things were apparently going after Jurassic World would have been great to see. I can't even imagine how that would have gone. Chris Pratt traveling around the world, being given covert missions from the government to stop some kind of dinosaur arms race in third world countries? It seems like that was the idea.

I've seen people speculate that there's probably gonna be bit of a balance between being on the island and then on the mainland in this one.

They could have the animals go ballistic in the Amazon, or another jungle. Eventually the whole "being confined to an island" storyline will get bland.

This movie is not going to take place only in Nublar, that island is being destroyed halfway, they're going to the mainline for the last half of the film, likely in a claustrophobic setting.

The Dinosaur arms race was confirmed that it wasn't the idea for the JW Trilogy, just the set up for JW. So yeah, we have a "trilogy" planned out but it's also not a "drag a story into 3 movies", they were done fairly stand alone at that from what we're seeing.

Getting ready to go to a premier, kinda dorky to go to a premier for a trailer but what the heck should be fun, I'll be tweeting the experience if everyone is interested.

Are you sure? Didn't the ending of JW have that Asian doctor guy literally about to sell dino embryos to the highest bidder or something? I thought I remember a scene like that. There is no reason to have that scene if that wasn't intended to pay off in a subsequent movie.

Colin Trevorrow who directed and is in charge of the trilogy's story said Jurassic War wasn't happening.

Yes you're totally correct about that set up that they hint at, that's why all the Jurassic community was angry after JW but whether it wasn't the original plan and just a red herring, a left over from the original JP4 script which involved hybrid human dinosaurs or Trevorrow felt the backlash from the fandom that doesn't seem to be the plan for the trilogy anymore, so it seems we dodged a bullet.

The payoff of that scene can still be that Dr. Wu is working with someone else in a lab and the dinosaurs escape in that lab and that's it.

In all fairness, there's really only so many stories you can tell about Jurassic Park. There's a park, it closed down. What about the backup park? What about we reopen the first park?

Pretty soon you have to look at hybrids and "What if... China had a Jurassic Park?" or military/government stuff. What else can you do with it?

This trailer just further makes me feel like the series should’ve ended after Jurassic World ... that certainly wasn’t happening after all the money JW made, but yikes. This story sounds like a stretch.
