YOOOOOOOOO HE'S BACK!
And the Neutrinos are up to some shady business, I knew they weren't that perfect. And...in perfect parallel to what's going on with the Foot. But is Dask really that old??? It's just a question of what the "oh no" is (probably Ch'rell, though...) Nice to see that Libby's back up on her feet and that the turtles are doing more of their own stuff. But the kids are going to get themselves into some serious trouble. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air.

You can edit the title. Go to "edit" then "go advanced".

This really has me excited. The Neutrinos being included is a big shocker and I'm all in for it, I'm very interested to see how they're going to be incorporated, and a little concerned that the writers might find it hard to resolve all of these plot threads.
So happy to see so many characters included - Splinter, Jennika, Harold, Libby, Honeycutt and, as I said, the Neutrinos. Before, I'd go an entire chapter hoping one of them would pop up in the next one, but now, they all seem to be an integral part of the plot and that's pretty great. Hope Casey makes an appearance in this issue as well, always loved this version of him. I can already guess that Raph sassing Leo isn't going to end well. To be fair, the IDW run hasn't had enough Leo vs. Raph fights by TMNT standards, has it now? Wachter's art is great, I was worried it'd feel like a step-down from Dialynas but it really doesn't, I'm all up for him drawing the rest of City at War. I also absolutely love the way he draws Splinter, especially in that part of the panel where he's ranting about Karai. The wait for this issue has been killing me but I'm all ready to see what IDW have in store. |

Think Honeycutt just noticed whatever it is Null has been preparing for?

Remember how Leatherhead turned up in Vengeance, and then took another 15 issues to actually show up in the storyline proper?
This will probably be the same thing for Maligna, Null, or whoever.

Yeah I instantly assumed Fugitoid was talking about Maligna. Ch'rell/Utroms/Triceratons are still on Earth and he sensed something coming in space, and Null has been shown in contact with something in space the last time she appeared and given their connection in Archie it's probably happening here too. I guess the Neutrino world is going to be attacked by space bugs soon.

Speaking of Null and Maligna's connection in Archie TMNT, I seriously hope IDW doesn't skimp on Scul and Bean reimagined as more insectoid-looking aliens!
A stag beetle and a mantis shrimp would be the perfect inspiration for a new iteration of those two. |

I'm going to agree that it seems early to have a Maligna story, and the Neutrinos are already dealing with that as it is.
Honeycutt wasn't expecting something, and probably just got news (probably from Ma'riell) that Ch'rell is freed from stasis. And Honeycutt was the first one to be concerned about letting him loose - having been the original to make the call to not release him.

Bet that guy though there were no sharks in the bay. His childhood terrors reawakened in his last moments.

The Leo vs. Raph thing didn't go as I expected. They didn't do the TMNT cliche and have them get into a heated argument or briefly start fighting, which is a win in my books. I'm so happy Leo just kind of went "Aw man".

This arc feels like long set-up so far, I guess it's still awhile before we get into the meat of the action.
