I thought it was good too, handled the subject matter delicately, only annoyances was it had hammy acting and a contrived part with the scheme to delay the bus, I don't think sending the driver out of town to Mill Creek was necessary, just notify the potential passengers of the bus schedule change.

It's kind of wrong of me, but I think I 'ship Doc and Graham a bit after they posed as a couple, combined with the Doctor's baffled look at his arm on her shoulder

I think I am done with Series 11. It is so dull and boring that it has become a chore to get through.

They lost the magic they had back in the Smith/Tennant Era. Nothing on Jodie she is good. Its the terrible writing Boring Companions and boring villains.

11 seasons... Admittedly I haven't watched any since the first Capaldi season but that's quite an achievement for a revival, 37 in total if you count the original run. Sad to hear it's gotten boring.

Don't forget Trump pastiches.

I'm only watching it for Bradley and Jodie.

There might not be a Christmas special this year, instead the BBC plan on moving it up to January 1st so there is at least one new episode of Doctor Who in 2019 (rumour is we'll get another break and series 12 won't air until 2020)

“Demons of the Punjab” is an episode that demonstrates plenty of heart, and contains some nice moments for Yaz, but unfortunately there’s not nearly enough excitement to go along with it.

Thoughts on "Humans of the Punjab"

Spoiler:
On one hand, it was nice to see Yaz defined a bit by a tragic backstory...she's essentially the product of her grandmother settling for something else after being driven from her home and her true love. The Doctor got it wrong about the Vagarians and ultimately had to stand by helplessly while a fixed point occurred, and the true villain got away with the murder of his brother and the holy man. There were considerable stakes.

That said, the lack of a much bigger cast to properly reflect the sweeping change brought on by the partisan, the lack of alien menace, show not tell storytelling, and two needless PC sermon-on-the-mount speeches held back the story from being a real highlight of this near riskless series.

It was tabloid rumor before, but now Doctor Who Magazine has confirmed there will be no christmas special. Doctor Who will instead have it's first New Years Day special since 2010's "End of Time Part Two"

BBC have confirmed series 12 will air in Autumn 2019

https://www.starburstmagazine.com/do...broadcast-2019

However, next season may be Chris Chibnall's last as he is unhappy behind the scenes, and Jodie may go with him

More details

-Chibnall wanted 18 month filming breaks, but the BBC demanded a 2019 series after seeing the massive ratings
-Five or Six Episode Run
-The series production proved too much for Jodie as a young mother
-Bradley Walsh is unlikely to continue. It's wait-and-see with Cole and Gill, though Cole is expected to go also.
-The Christmas special will be reinstated next year, Jodie will regenerate there

Billie Piper is back, as Rose Tyler finally gets that long proposed spin-off series from Big Finish.

Rose Tyler: The Dimension Cannon takes place during the events of season four, with Rose travelling to alternate dimensions looking for The Doctor. Helping her along the way is her mum Jackie, her parallel dad Pete, and a version of Clyde, the alien investigator from "Rose" who first put Rose on The Doctor's trail. Sadly, Noel Clarke is too busy to reprise his role as Mickey.

Daleks to appear in the New Year's special, and from what I hear, they've ditched the bronze look

Also the rumors about Chibnall and Jodie leaving were almost accurate, but not quite. Apparently Chris and Jodie simply had a "bad day" on set but the BBC smoothed things over with them. However there will not be a series in 2019 after New Year, and the next series is scheduled for January 2020
