When might we see higher res pics of that display?
Is that a "Tales Of" Splinter near the Shredder and Turtles at the top? I still need to get the Tales Of series (target.com still not stocking them ugh...) but i'm excited for the Samurai stuff and other new characters |

I think that's dojo Splinter.
But I definitely see Tiger Claw Priest. Far wall looks to have a Casey and Karai figure/vehicle pack possibly. Possible new Bebop and Military turtle in a long coat.

I don't see Muckman either. I do see Turtles monsters (derp, big sign at the bottom too, saw that last, lulz)...which could be cool. What at first I thought was some Fugitoid variant finally registered as a mummy turtle. Variants, but hey, maybe creative ones! I'll give samurai variants a pass too.
Why is it that these pictures are always so low res...I mean I'm grateful to whomever took the photo but can we get a kickstarter to get that sleuth a better phone? |

A lot of turtle variants, but they're cool atleast. I'll take monsters and samueai over zipline anyday.

Man I wish I could see Muckman up in there...*sigh* I WILL however take Usagi, those new Tiger Claws and Samurai turtles on horses instead tho....jeez. Also that re-tooled movie truck. That's pretty exciting. I'm one of the few who like the Playmates stuff...
...think one of these might be Alopex too? Heard she was coming to the show as well... Last edited by OrokuYoshiFilms; 01-27-2017 at 01:47 PM. |

Speaking as one of the few Playmates fans as well, the most exciting things to see were the samurai Turtles: could those be marketed as Third movie Turtles. Complete with horses. Definitely cool.

I spy classic Bebop and classic (?) Rocksteady, disguised Leo with fedora and coat, Werewolf/Invisible Man/Mummy/Vampire turtles (talk about a blast from the past) and 2 Priest Tiger Claws (?) And I'll take it that next to Usagi is someone from that world as well? Not that familiar with those characters sorry...

Awesome!
Oh man, good find! I took a screen grab for everyone:
Spoiler:
I put it in a spoiler tag since it's a little obnoxiously big... -JJ |

Any guesses on the figure above the horse, center in front of the brick background? Sorta reminds me of an out of focus Rocksteady but my monitor is not super good. Also cool to see the packaging for Samurai and horse at far right.

The horse is just the Movie III Samurai War Horse. Given they already have the mold, producing it would be incredibly cheap which means they aren't likely to cancel it unless store just won't order it.

I wish they'd use that Mix & Match Rocksteady for the base. I think that version has much better scale and articulation that the basic figure. Makes me hopeful to see some cool stuff at NY Toy Fair! -JJ |

I was waiting for this info to pop up here and share my thoughts.
Dark variants (on dojo Splinter shelf) look well done but uninteresting as variants. Same for the 'spy' line or whatever they are. Monsters make my smile (I own both original sets) but will have to come along with an interesting blister, accesories etc if I'm to get them. Wanna see they do a nice job with these at least. Crossing fingers. Samurais again have a lot of potential, but in Playmates hands we know they're gonna be poorly painted so I don't know... Look more like Power Rangers than samurais Usagi looks unacceptably wrong done, too this and with no fighting yojimbo pose at all, not to mention Jei (the one in the black kimono). What about those 2 TigerClaw variants? And the single turtle on trench coat? Is that Leonardo?

Boy I hope they put the original horse out via the classic collection.
