Avengers & Justice League Writers Want To Do A Crossover

http://comicbook.com/comics/2018/02/...ant-crossover/

Scott Snyder and Jason Aaron will soon be taking command over two of the big two's flagship teams, but could that result in an even bigger crossover?

That's the idea that they teased to fans on social media after it was announced that Jason Aaron would be teaming up with artist Ed McGuinness on a new Avengers series. Over at DC, it was recently announced that DC Metal's Scott Snyder would be taking over a Justice League series after Metal wraps up, and the two started an exchange that proposed a crossover between the two teams.

"Crazy excited for @jasonaaron on Avengers - going to be epic," Snyder said. Aaron responded with "Cheers, Scott. Maybe we need to work up a new Justice League vs. Avengers crossover."

Snyder was quickly on board, saying "I would do that with you anytime brother! Huge congrats and good seeing this weekend."

The last time the big two did a crossover like that was in 2004, which was the Kurt Busiek JLA/Avengers series. If two writers were going to bring that concept back around, Snyder and Aaron would certainly be an interesting duo that could pull it off.

The Avengers team Aaron is assembling is one filled with A-Listers, but that doesn't keep the lineup from being interesting.

“We wanted to get back to a small, core lineup. With big, iconic characters at the heart of that,” Aaron says. “So we get Steve, Tony, and Thor Odinson back together at the heart of this new team, and the rest of the team we build around them over the course of the first arc. My aim with this series is basically, if you only read one Marvel comic -- not that you should read just one Marvel comic, but if you did -- if you picked this book up, this would show you the landscape of the Marvel universe issue after issue. We want to feature the biggest characters and go to the coolest, most exotic locations around the Marvel U.”

Avengers #1 launches in May, while No Justice comes up later this year.

Isn't this about comics? Why post it in the TV section?
