I've only left my room twice today; both times to use the washroom.
This honestly makes my introvert self extremely happy. |

Its official.
The Noragami anime gets a second season with the story of bishamonten! I am so happy, cause it´s the best anime I watched in a long time and it deserves at least 4 seasons!

So my wife was going through the DVR, and she saw some movie about bears, and I said something about putting a bear in the Camel Clutch (long story, inside joke ), and tried to imitate a bear noise. She almost fell off the bed laughing, and she's like, "That's exactly the sound a baby bear makes when it's crying for it's mother!" And I'm like, "Well yeah, that's what a bear would do if you put him in the Camel Clutch."
She's downstairs and I can still hear her laughing. She watches a lot of NatGeo.

Other half and I are hours away from having Sideshow Bob as a playable character on Simpsons Tapped Out. As far as cartoon villains go, Bob is in my top five. It's a minor tidbit to be happy about, but there you go. We're also re-watching all the MCU movies from Phase One leading up to Age of Ultron which we hope to see by mid May. We're getting ready to watch Thor and will hopefully watch one movie per evening. I say mid May because we're also wrapped up in the Wii, but I'm hoping to see this new Avengers film a bit sooner. Oh, and it's Star Wars day. I always enjoy May 4th.

I'll go you one better, Indigo. Actual SPRING-like temps in May. Usually, it's already in mid-90's here. Today, mid-80's. Beautiful.

I drove our new family car and it has shut down only once!
My record was with the last car (first time driving) 6-shut-downs. I am the master of driving slowly, like James from Top Gear

I'm sure I'll be complaining of the heat soon enough (though after that winter many of us had I'll try not to). Hitting 90 used to be more common for us in August... for quite a few years however we've been getting it by the end of May. |

Every single goddamn thing.
Started work at 8:30, gorgeous day out, three client appointments before 11am. Everyone showed up and kicked ass. Got lunch, went home, took a power nap, as the day was just beginning. When you bounce around as much as I do, you learn to grab and conserve energy as much as you can as often as you can. Back to work at 2:30, 4 more appointments at the gym closest to my house. The progress my people are making is terrific. Which works great for me, because I'm an Energy Thief; I steal people's positive energy and channel it into my own work and my own workouts. When people do good, it makes me want to do even better. Someone I signed up to the gym on a Free Week Trial yesterday came in and signed up today for 6 months. I saw her and was like, "Wow, that was fast." Swung by one of the other gyms to finish off with two more appointments. Renewed one client for another 6 months of sessions. Had a f*cking killer chest and triceps workout to close out the day. AND, my wife made friends with the hottest girl at the gym, who she's been wanting to talk to for a while as they're both huge fans of black metal. So now they're going to a King Diamond concert together in a couple months. I hope they f*cking kiss. Grabbed a little dinner on the way home, and my wife surprised me with some chocolate-flavored red wine. SO, top to bottom, helluva day. It even stayed gorgeous out all day even though it threatened to rain at one point. Don't get much better than this. Well, it could, but she's on the rag. Still, today was about 9.9/10 on the whole.

We've been fortunate so far this year, with plenty of rain for a change, which is keeping the temps down. I love it! (Except when I have to WALK in said rain- that part sucks.)

I recently got to see a friend of mine I hadn't seen in 6 years and reconnected with a friend I hadn't seen in about 2. She & I now have a standing weekly hang out day which is so nice, I really needed an adult day, lol. 24/7 hanging out with my 4 year old needs some adult time intermittently shoved in there...

As for me, the thing that made my day was the news that the sequel to Strangeland (one of my fave horror flicks ever) has fiiiiiiinally been greenlit. Hells to the muthaf*ckin' yeah!

Reminded me, though granted I was younger, for a time I'd take a little stuffed green stegosaurus to school with me, which sometimes sat on my desk. It wore a tiny terry cloth Barbie jacket. I still have it. It's still wearing it. A former classmate years later once mentioned it. lol What made me happy today... hmm... Still warm out. Got something in the mail I was waiting for. Found a cute inexpensive book for my mom to give her for Mother's Day - which was unexpected since I found it at a craft store (glad I stopped in!) among other children's books; she has a thing for nicely illustrated children's books. |
