Went for 5k, but take note this is the 7th Bo staff he has sold in the few years. Also taking into account that a collector owns the thinner version from part 2 on the forum, and Steven Ho owns one I doubt Leif owned 7 of these.

Wasn't the BIN price like 2 or 3 thousand? Crazy bid wars-- they'll get ya every time.

Someone could have bid just to see what the reserve was but who knows. At this point you almost need to screen match a prop. I'm hoping he didn't make copies as a Bo staff could be easy to make compared to one of my sai |

I had the pleasure of meeting this turtle many years ago during the production of Turtle Power. He was standing on a balcony inside a non descriptor airplane hanger in Northampton. He was eventually passed into the very capable and talented hands of Tom Spina, an amazing prop restoration guy in Long Island. Tom's team did an AMAZING JOB! See his website for the entire restoration: http://www.tomspinadesigns.com/resto...e-restoration/
Anyways, you can now own this one, so check it out: http://propstoreauction.com/view-auc...d/44/lot/9829/

I spoke with the crew member whose son donated those props. He told me that the museum mislabeled the Shredder mask. Instead of being made for an actor to wear, it was actually taken off a dummy that they compacted inside the garbage truck at the end of the movie. Of course, you don't actually get to see any of the body-crushing carnage in the final cut!
I'm attaching something that I thought was cool enough to share. The first item framed is a picture taken during the "Ninja Rap Is Born" newspaper photo shoot, which has been autographed by all of the Turtle actors. Next to it is an original storyboard page from the 1990 movie that Jim Henson signed. Everyone I've talked to who met Henson on the set described him as being a very quiet, humble, serene man. |

This rookie prop collector (considering d_osborn and tmntgeoff are the pro's) wants to tease something really cool coming my way as I post this. A screen used prop that I'm receiving directly from the actor. Shouldn't take more then 2 weeks to arrive, and hope it will arrive in good shape

Ah, it's so nice to see the scepter is still out there & in decent shape. Thats a top-tier prop in my book.

...and yes, the scepter is easily my favorite thing about TMNT 3. Well-- Paige Turco with short hair isn't bad. Glad to hear the prop is still in good shape! I think it was auctioned in the early 2000s. |
