I'm seeing a pretty big Hela spoiler making the rounds today... I think it's a pretty sensible change to canon; simplifies things for the movie audience.

I haven't but I feel like I know what the few most likely options are. Can't say I mind.

It currently has a 97% on Rotten Tomatoes, due to one rotten review.
https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/thor_ragnarok_2017/ and IGN gave it a 7.7. http://www.ign.com/articles/2017/10/...ok-review?read |

Wacky. Fun. Funny. Jokes. Humor.
Reading that negative review, yeah... Marvel hasn't needed my box office money since Phase 1. I'll be watching this one for free after home release.

I read a couple reviews for this today, and I'm excited for it. I don't think it's going to convert any DCCU-over-MCU moviegoers, but it'll get my money at least. I'd rather see a comic book movie that can laugh at itself than one that takes itself sooo seriously (looking at you, DCCU).

It's not a matter of DC versus Marvel for me. My favorite Marvel movies are the Guardians of the Galaxy movies and Ant-Man.
I'm just not interested in a third funny Thor movie. At least everyone seems to agree it's the best Thor movie yet.

Were the first two Thor movies considered funny? The first one had some fun moments, but I wouldn't say it was comedy based. The second one was a bore, I don't even remember half of it.

That one negative review came from Variety, here's what it says.
http://variety.com/2017/film/reviews...tt-1202594143/ While it's not saying much, "Thor: Ragnarok" is easily the best of the three Thor movies - or maybe I just think so because its screenwriters and I finally seem to agree on one thing: The Thor movies are preposterous. That review is saying that the Thor movies have always been sh*t, though I don't they were, each movie had a different director, and the 3rd Thor movie seems to have taken it to the right direction. I looking forward to this one, I'm more interested in seeing Thor going to other worlds besides always being on Earth, what this 3rd movie presents is a welcome change, seeing Thor going to other worlds, especially if its the one based on Planet Hulk. I thought this clip was funny.
It starts out very heartfelt, and then gets funny at the end. Last edited by TigerClaw; 10-19-2017 at 04:47 PM. |

And yeah, Thor 1 was a ton of comedy, too. Thor getting tazed, smashing crockery, fish out of water on earth... all that.

Hero is there, faces the villian which is an evil version of self, snarky humor during fight, advertise the next movie. It will be interesting to see if the MCU survives the inevitable “retirement” of RDJ, Evans, et al.

It looks like it suffers from the exact same problem GotG2 had, where they don't want the audience to think too hard about the characters, so they're all made to be comedians bantering at each other.
First one was fine but the second was a comedy. Thor's very entrance into the film is a joke. Every human character aside from Jane is a vehicle for jokes. |

I'm not digging thors new haircut. looks weird.
other than that, I enjoyed the last two movies, although I liked the first one more. I would have expected a bit more fun with janes visit to asgard than what we got. but it felt like she didn't interact with as many people as she should have from the first mo vie. |
