Zanramon - the closest thing that came to a 2k3 Krang?

Weirdly enough, I found Zanramon and Krang to be quite similar to each other. Here are several similarities:

They're both alien warlords, duh.
They both often make funny remarks of gestures.
They're both lizard like entities (well, that's what the writers make Krang out out be before he lost his body.
Both seem incompetent. Everybody knows that about Krang but, just look at Zanramon - he wasted his time trying to pit the turtles in danger to get Honeycutt to build the transmat, when he could have just read his mind with his tech.

You know, I did think Zanramon was the Krang in 2k3. That is, until Turtles Forever destroyed that dream.

Oh well.

Anyway, what do you think?

Zanramon 1st appeared in Mirage comics vol 1 issue 6. I seriously doubt Krang was based on him. Especially since the Triceratons actually appeared in 1 episode of the original cartoon (for like 5 seconds anyways).

I meant that the 2k3 Zanramon was similar to Krang. The Mirage one however, wasn't.

During Space Invaders, I found Zanramon more similar to Dregg than Krang since they just had their headquarters in spaceships just outside earth.

I think it's a good theory, but you answered your own question. And Jester is correct in pointing out Krang exists in the 4kids realm via their multiverse situation. Oh yeah, and Cipher has mad ms paint skillz.

^I forgot about it, too. I was referring to the meta Krang - Fred Wolf Krang appearing in 4kids as FW Krang in Turtles Forever - which would make him a 4kids Krang.
