this is probably one of my favorite segments from old Samurai Jack. I loved the avant garde approach the sometimes approached this series.

After how bad the Powerpuff girls reboot turned out I don't have much faith in this.

Then why do you keep coming back to comment about it? Weren't you the one that called this show "a tone downed Usagi Yojimbo"?

Why don't you back to drooling over pictures of Melissa instead of posting about something you've admitted to having no interest in?

Cubed is like a wall. No matter how much you hit it, it never goes down.

Anyways, show's shaping up pretty nicely. I look forward to when it comes out. Quick little question, how many IDW comics did they do about Jack? I saw it mentioned, but am curious.

Ain't that the hard truth. Well said.

As for the comic, it had 20 issues + 1 special

Anyway, found another batch of concept art that was featured at Annecy:

I don't know why they have to make this so edgy with blood. This was a kids cartoon, nobody is expecting violence out of Samurai Jack.

Shut up, Cubed. Go troll the Supergirl thread. I thought you said you said you weren't even a fan of this show?

I watched this show a decade ago when I was younger, I thought it was OK. Its just that at the same time I was reading Usagi Yojimbo comics for the first time and comparing the two this just felt like a lesser version of a samurai story I was reading. If you've read any of Stan Sakai's Usagi books you'd understand, most of them are in trade collections on amazon so they're easy to find now.

I'll check this out most likely which is why I come here, I'm interested in seeing the first episode at least.

In other words, you're just doing the same shtick you did in your Avatar thread. Gotcha.

Yeah, especially since he always wanted to finish Jack's story with a feature-length movie, even after the show got screwed by the network back in the day. Finally, we may get a conclusion to Jack's epic and bittersweet tale.

It's the same people behind it, and a direct continuation. Neither can be said for the PPG reboot. This is not going to be like the PPG reboot. It's not a reboot at all.

A few new details of the season that have popped up online from Comic-Con:

Spoiler:
http://boards.4chan.org/co/thread/84...eral#p84736911
-Scotsman will be returning "In a big way"
-The show will premiere in early 2017
-New characters include Aku's seven daughters. There's apparently a child birthing scene involving an Aku cult.
-Tom Kenny describes the show as "Mad Jack Fury Road"
-We're apparently getting the same intro, but with different animation
-While not related, when asked on the possibility of a Sym-Bionic Titan revival, Genndy responded "Never say never"

New artwork:

I tried to make it back to the Indigo Ballroom for the Jack panel, but Bob's Burgers and Archer were in there next and since they don't clear the rooms....yeah, didn't happen.

But from the looks the line, I'm at least glad there was a full house for the Samurai Jack panel.

This is probably redundant, but it's another nice review of the panel:
