Transformers - The Japanese Collection

I actually got this in December, and it was part of a Shout! Factory sale, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep it or not. Now I've decided to.

Picked up Justice League and I now have a little buyers' remorse.

It's a guilty pleasure, but it's still not as good as BvS or Wonder Woman. The second viewing showed a lot of flaws, but also some good things that I hadn't noticed before.

I'm buying it too as I haven't seen it yet, but I've not heard anyone speak highly of it yet

It's not all bad, but it's definitely more comfy for non-comic fans, Marvel lovers, and "normies" than the others. You can see where really great material got cut, condensed, or altered, and it's a little infuriating. The deleted Superman scenes on the disc give a glimpse of just how much Whedon changed everything.

If I wasn't so obsessive-compulsive over the Blu-ray slipcovers that come out during the early print runs of these movies, I probably would have waited a bit longer to purchase it.

I recently got a collector's edition of Dragon Heart the other day. Since I also have the book, I'm curious to see how different the movie is from the book and vise-versa.

Those Sentai sets must be selling really well for Shout! Factory.

Timeranger should be next; I'll be watching out for it.

It is next. In fact, it's scheduled for release July 31st. Gingaman came out in January, and now GogoFive is out. Mind you, GogoFive really comes out on the 24th of this month, but I got it two weeks early because I preordered it on Shout! Factory's site. The same with the Digimon Blu-ray you see in the picture.

Not a purchase but I stumbled across this:
https://www.amazon.com/Samurai-Pizza.../dp/B018ENE3G6

Standard Definition on Blu-Ray and all 52 episodes of Samurai Pizza Cats in only one disc.

I thought it was illegal to publish SD shows on BR? I've never seen that backed up by any real source and I've always taken people's word for it but maybe it's wrong?

I know I'd be totally into buying shows on DVD if they were all in only one disc instead of huge collections.

does the box set go for anything worthwhile? I bought it back in the day, didn't think it was worth anything anymore.
