Why isn't anyone talking about Taika Waititi directing Thor 3!!!!

Now I suddenly have enormous hopes for it being the next surprise hit after GOTG.

So Natalie Portman has been kicked to the curb. They shouldn't have cast her in the first place.

I really liked Natalie Portman's character, I think this Thor is going to be a train wreck. This new actress does nothing for me and even worse, never heard of her.

Thank God. GET RID of Natalie Portman.

Gah. I'll miss Darcy, though.

Nothing wrong with her cleavage. I loved her humor, too. "Gimme your shoe." She and Loki are the only characters I enjoy in a Thor movie.

Her character was the one who liked Thor, right? If so...I personally found her annoying. No idea why, either. I liked the other characters around her, though...and personally, I favor Loki's character, so if he's there, I'm getting a movie ticket. lol Oh well. Still looking forward to the third installment regardless...even if I don't know the director and stuff.

For those of you who didn't like Natelie Portman's Jane Foster, why is this? And no, being an astrophysicist as opposed to a scientist does not count.

I had no problem with Jane Foster in the movies, I guess some just don't like the portrayal of the character, in the current comments, Jane Foster became the new Thor.

Because #1, Natalie Portman is a liar who takes all the credit from people who deserve it (e.g. her stunt double doing all the ballet in Black Swan)

#2, Jane Foster in the MCU is a vapid boring character who is one-dimensional in the first movie, and a MacGuffin Plot Device who likes sea bass in the second movie who just HAPPENS to stumble across the Aether.

Are there any rumors of plans for more stand alone Thor films after all of this (post Infinity War)?

Is Portman's character getting recasted? I find it annoying when movies spend so much time of the film dealing with love interests only to drop them when things go bad like they do here, Batman Returns/TDKR etc. Either to do it right or ignore it, did every MCU superhero really need a love interest? They should've planned ahead. At this point I'd prefer if they recasted, its better than ignoring like it ever happened.

Maybe an Ultron drone fragged her.

Or maybe she tried to get into that magic hot tub with Thor but it fried her.

I'm not well versed in Thor comics, but in EMH Thor falls in love with her because he is amazed how courageous she is despite being a powerless mortal (she's an EMT and risks her life to help the wounded.

In the movie, the romance is totally forced. Their infatuation is based on nothing, except physical attraction. I think it was smart to do the whole astrophysicist thing, and I'm glad they didn't make the whole movie about their relationship, but still... she's pretty pointless.

Anyways, this new character being a love interest is a rumor at this point. Thor should end up with Sif.

None at present. As of right now the only post-A3 sequels I'd put money on are Spidey, Guardians and Black Panther.
