Stephen Amell has panic attack

On Michael Rosenbaum's podcast, and has to leave. This one:

https://insideofyoupodcast.com/episodes/stephen-amell-2

Also he says he has only been doing Arrow for a while just for the money. He really opens up.

A panic attack isn't something that anybody wants to experience, bruh. Also, it would be disrespectful to show Amell succumbing to his attack on-air.

Well I'll give him this - that was a pretty well-managed panic attack.

For those interested things start to take a turn at 29:52 of the interview.

Man, that is savage.

Seriously, wish Amell all the best in health and career.

Is it bad that it seems a bit staged, to me?

I felt the same way, but you'd better virtue signal your well wishes and how concerned you are for him just so anyone on the underbelly of the boards knows you are, yes indeedy a good person. I'll take the negative hit from those same people for telling you this in sarcasm, but then unbeknownst to them I can virtue signal as well through my willingness to take the social hit for your benefit so that you are socially elevated by signaling your well wishes to Amell for his panic attacks

The sense of helplessness during a panic attack can be awful, but Stephen Amell will be fine.

It would only appear staged to me if it was not one of the first panic attacks he's ever had. He sounds like he has no idea what's going on, but once you've had a few of these, you generally know what's happening, even though you are in fear. You still might be paranoid that something is wrong, but I don't think you'd be as puzzled as he sounds.

Who knows.

It just strikes me as convenient that everyone went from not talking about Stephen Amell at all... to just like that, suddenly everybody talking about Stephen Amell. And him becoming "humanized," something he's admitted is a concern about his "rep."

Furthermore this manifested on a show that resides within Amell's clique. There's even dialog about Amell working out with The Smallville Superman guy Tom Welling and this is happening on Smallville Lex Luthor's podcast! LOL!

Maybe he is having panic attacks because he's out of work with the release of his show.
Maybe he's staging panic attacks because he's out of work with the release of his show.
Maybe he does get panic attacks, but used the situation and staged this one.

It all sounds like the melodrama from a CW sh..... err.....

I do wonder if his phone has been ringing for future roles (movie or TV).

I think he was considered something of a rising star when he did Out of the Shadows, but since then... uh.... he's only been in Code 8, a movie I hadn't heard of but has a decent critical score (also produced by him and his cousin, coincidentally enough). And, of course, all the CW DC shows and crossovers.

Haven't listened to it, but ran across Yahoo's article on it a little bit ago. Used to deal with them myself long ago and what he described (or at least as quoted in the article) was pretty much me back then with the same kind of symptoms... Not a stereotyped all out screaming freakout, but that same sweating, feel ill, just really want to get the hell out of there. Sometimes even in places or situations you've been in before and handled fine or on any other day may enjoy. (i.e. Mine once happened at Toys R Us!)

Too much stress is a huge factor though and sounds like he's had plenty of it on his mind so, yeah...maybe a break is a good idea, Stephen.

I guess for him it's lucky that next TMNT movie (if it's still happening) might presumably be totally different, including a different cast... On top of being miserable having made those films (edit: or according to the experience of a co-star), eesh, now I'd esp feel bad if he was forced back into it.

You honestly think there's even a teeny tiny chance they'd bring him back as Casey Jones?
