I hoarded empty video cassett boxes and pizza box/pizza accessories and now those are selling like hot cakes.

Face it, man. The items are no longer so exclusive and Ebay is flooding with sets. Your business took a hit and we can all see it, and relish in it a bit, because you acted like such an ass. There's no saving face here. I'm not going to suggest you stop trying though - tbh I think a lot of us find it quite cathartic.

On the bright side, you were on the right side when it came to predicting these would come to Gamestop. Unfortunately for you, it happened very quickly.

My set finally arrived. These figures are amazing, and that diorama... huge!

The dio is a bit on the flimsy side, something NECA might consider for the retail version.

They did but why should they be? It's not like they're only producing a limited number of these so why can't they continue to take preorders? Seems kind of weird to me. I hope they restock otherwise, what's the point?

Thanks for posting this. I was lucky enough not to have any issues. But I did wonder if the mask went over eyes, and not the eyes being part of the mask. Just curious, how did you take the mask off?

Flimsy? Compared to other current buildable dioramas from other companies, e.g. DST Ghostbusters firehouse & rooftop, the thing is built like a tank. I cut a gash in my finger on its rigid edges just trying to pop out the window pieces. Even the cardboard back is astoundingly thick and rigid.

The only part I might call flimsy are the brackets that have to be inserted for the top platform.

And the only real complaint I have is that the plugs to hold the backdrop on are too loose, but setting it up against a wall mitigates that.

I don't quite understand why there are all the brick plugs to insert. Maybe the mold needed all those holes to work right and so the plugs were the compromise?

Could they provide options for added accessories like the ac unit? Maybe they wanted a option for an accessory pack.

It wasnt mine Leo, someone from here:

http://www.sideshowcollectors.com/fo...tles-1013.html
Maybe he forced mask off or used acetone which melts residues and glues/paints
Cause if you dont use acetone and attempt rubbing paint off...

Heres cool video interview with jason frailey at NECA studio , he sculpted turtles heads and took over after trevor, you can see old trevor raphael statue being taken out of the mold at 03:55:

My father said buildings used to be built like that, with sectional center bricks coming out a little further than the bricks around them. It is actually an accuracy thing.

The pieces feel very brittle, and my set came with broken roof pegs. Both roof pieces don't have a real support system and those support pieces for the second roof do very little next to nothing. And with the felling of brittleness I'd be cautious to assemble and disassemble the set too often.

It's a gorgeous set, and for NECA's first diorama they're on the right track. But for retail there's still a few kinks to iron out.

Hideous these piss me off especially because people will buy them and attempt to sell them as the authentic Neca release.
