So I've got a repeat of The Big Bang Theory on as background noise... and suddenly I realize that Lewis Black is on this episode. As an expert in bugs and insects.

Oh yea, that's one of my favorite episodes! Funny, I didn't even think of that connection until now.

Somewhat of a generic episode. Good, but not memorable.
Raph's anger issuer were handled much better in 2k3 episode and in this one it felt like they have been played mostly for jokes.

At this point I was afraid this show will go with "mutant of the week" formula, but gladly I was mostly wrong about it.

I've watched up to Episode 16 and so far it's not that bad. They do introduce some new mutants along the way, but at least it's not as formulaic as I was afraid initially.
