The future of Rise

Do you think Rise is getting cancelled after these four episodes titled Final ? or Do you think the show's going the route of the 2012 series where they are going to call it by a different name? and what about the Netflix's movie?

If the show does not end on episode 39(B), which judging from the title it will, then the final episode is instead episode 52(B). In either case this will make it the shortest TMNT cartoon to date, although not the shortest TMNT show, that would still be Next Mutation. The Netflix movie has presumably already been made so it will be released.

Rise will in all likelyhood not be continued with a title change or at all. When a show is moved to Nicktoons it's basically confirmation of cancellation. The next TMNT cartoon (whenever the time comes) will probably have nothing to with Rise and is most likely a reboot without ties to anything else.

I can hardly even guess at this point. I've seen their usual generic "in two weeks" tv ad once, though nothing promoting a finale of any sort.

I would think it would sort of need to go somewhere past the part 4 "Rise" one still, else that isn't really rising and the series title is sorta pointless? (I mean, that would be like one called... I dunno, "April Goes to College," but then she doesn't go until the last ep. )

Still wondering though if it is going to disappear until the Netflix thing drops, and then maybe finish season 2 with another tone...

No clue if it had anything to do with Rise.

I read somewhere that the next episodes were pushed to August 21st.

I don't know why Nicktoons is releasing two episodes on one day a month. Sounds like a weird way to finish off a show. I will say it's different than how CN ended Beware the Batman.

Wasn't it confirmed Season 2 was the final season awhile girl? There's still apparently an animated movie for Rise coming, so the show is still getting one final story after it ends.

Nah, girl (), I don't recall hearing anything like that ever confirmed. Just easy to assume there is no season 3, else we'd probably know about it by now.

What confused me is images I've come across showing that McDonald's I guess had 'Rise' kid's meal toys around May? Kind of weird to promote a show that already was rarely on and possibly ending early.

Well, that's a little telling, if it was related.
Spoiler:
Though in the case of a show, good things don't normally get cut short.

That date was from TV Passport tv guide website, they've made a lot of mistakes. There season 2 episode guide is mess.

I...did not know of this. Haven't seen any commercials or advertisements promoting this.

Same. Just thought to try to check where the related videos, etc are from and one is Australian, another in Indonesia. Maybe they got leftover stock (?), but still seems odd this late.

The Rise Happy Meal toys were, oddly, exclusive to New Zealand.

Anyway, new episodes are back this coming Friday.

Well Nickelodeon just sucks ass when it comes to advising their shows or toy lines that aren't Spongebob or Loud House or any of the Dan Schneider's shows.

Huh. That's a shame as they actually look kind of interesting and thought out for a kid's meal toy. (edit: Then again, some countries do notoriously get better toys than we do.)

With the last series, Russia, I think, had exclusive Happy Meal toys based on the space season. Weird stuff!

I've never seen TMNT Happy Meal toys in the UK but I do remember Burger King TMNT toys during the 2003 series.

I doubt that 39 is going to be the LAST episode but my guess is that they are going to revamp the title and lose "Rise".

It was said that season 2 will have 26 episodes and the last show Nick decided to cut short was Invader Zim and that one had a 4 year haitus between seasons so I doubt Rise is going to end in 39 episodes.

I wonder if they decided to have the Netflix movie in lieu of the second half of the season.

It's weird that the episodes are being labeled as the finale but there's been no official work from anyone - just tweets from folks who work on the show hinting this is the end.
