True, Launchpad had issues in the original.

Before the release:
I never watched it as a kid, and only binged it late in high school because I had been catching up on what I missed with Darkwing Duck. Not sure about the adult voices or David Tennant as Scrooge. After the release: The voices have grown on me, especially Scrooge. And the humor is on the same level as on Gravity Falls and Star Vs. Especially in the inflection of the way lines are spoken. Which can even be read with the Headless ManHorse. "A head! I'm no longer a freak! Thank you!" And everything Launchpad says. "Yes sir, random kid I just met!" This is kind of my ideal on how a modern TMNT following the FW series footsteps should be. Taking itself a little more seriously while also embracing the silliness of the original.

2 new episodes were released today. Both slice of life episodes rather than an adventure like the pilot but both had some good stuff.
Margo Martindale as Ma Beagle and Jim Rash as Gyro are both great. I like the setup for Gizmoduck and the slow burn they're doing with the Della Duck / Spear of Selene mystery. |

Yeah, I like the mystery of Della Duck and how they want to find her and who she is. I don't remember that in the original so it's nice that they're exploring it here. Loved both episodes and thought they were fun. I definitely like this series.

I've been liking this show so far except, it's more slice of life than adventure, the original series was more adventure than slice of life. I hope that changes as time goes on.
One thing I dislike is how they are handling Huey's character, the others have been given good moments stuff but Huey goes missing in the second episode which is weird, the trio were never separated, why? I hope they do an episode with just Huey and Donald together to explain what they were doing. Over all it's been ok. |

I think Its one of those shows that have a slow start then picks up as it goes along. Be patient.

I kind of like that they're letting the triplets do their own things independantly, though Huey not being in the most recent episode was weird. But I guess there would have been too many storylines otherwise.
Maybe Huey was hanging out with Donald . It's likely there was no such thing as 1-on-1 time with him while they were growing up...that might actually be a cool episode. With a mansion, Scrooge, Webby, and Mrs. Beakly around, there's more, there's more things to occupy two of the three while one just gets a comparatively chill day with his uncle. Until they get their own shenanigans.

I think Webby is a de-aged Della. It would totally explain why she's grown up in the protection of the mansion, why she's so obsessed with the Duck family, and why she hadn't seen any images of Della before. Other than Mrs Beakley Webby hasn't mentioned what happened to her own parents.

That would be an interesting twist if she was their mother turned into a child.

You knew she had to have some type of connection to Magica when she referenced the amulet at the beginning of the episode.

I was actually thinking of the villain from the movie but that wouldn't make sense, since Scrooge has the Lamp just sitting in his garage.

Loved the fourth episode. Not sure about Gyro's new personality yet, I hope they won't make him a villain.
