The seller claims, that he opened them only for display. However Leo's mask seems to have the same failure that the bootlegs seem to have, at least according to the video in this thread...

Maybe the guy sells some bootlegs in the original clamshells & keeps the original to himself?!

What do you guys think?! Actually I'd love to bid on them, of course provided they're the real deal!

Leo looks like a knockoff to me. Not just the mask but look at feet and the joints.

Yeah it looks a bit fishy...he said that shipping would cost me about 60 bucks, so that scared me away anyway

i've got a 4 box set, pre-ordered and stuff so i know they're official
but i wanted to get the b/w ones and an extra set of 4 to make "waterpaint" ones, or even dot patterned half tone ones
i saw the neca turtles suddenly resurfaced, i wondered if they were bootlegs...
i'd say, it doesn't bother me that much that they're not official (gray area...) what bothers me is that they are not that cheap and if they'll break it might just not be worth it
neca is not really known for good quality control, and i just imagined they kept the license to that line or had spares in china, so my biggest worry is:
has anyone had the experience of them actually breaking?

I dunno, the images are pretty small and far away from the figures that you can't really check the details. The one thing I notice right away is that black paint on the top of Mikey's front shell overlapping just like the bootlegs do. You need a more closeup image of that part to see if that's what it is. I posted a closeup image of what it looks like in here.

Hard to tell from those pictures, you'd need pictures of the actual figure outside the box.

However my experience tells me, Tubes + China = Bootleg

I dunno man, it seems too good to be true. I would wait until you hear back from them, looking through their catalogue it looks like it hasn't been updated in a while.

well, i'd say don't order if they don't reply, their catalog is very old
but if you wanna try the risk, use paypal and open a dispute when you don't receive anything and they don't reply, you'll get your money back. but sincerely, it does not look good

Hi I just Bought my self 4 clamshell moc packaged NECA TMNTs. Is there a way to tell if they are rip-offs? I don't want to open the packaging so I have a hard time telling if they are real or not.
