Pro Wrestling Discussion

....Cause we need onna these over here too. (Curse my inability to make Sticky topics)

I'm kinda excited about New Year's Revolution. Actually, I've never watched a PPV before, this would be the first.

On an interesting (or not) sidenote, I once used "New Year's Revolution" as a title for a PPV in an E-Fed that I was running or co-running. I aughta get paid royalties, dammit.

Muhamad Assan rules, seriously, anyone who punches J.R is god in my book...well, that, and his gimmick is the first anti-american heel character in years to honestly be any good.

I miss the hell out of Joey Styles and Joel Gertner. They were the sh*t. Hell, everything about ECW was superior to the WWE. 'Cept maybe the women.....Every woman from ECW that I can think of (other than Lita) looked really trashy at least at some point.

As did I.

Every time I think about the ECW divas my mind goes back to seeing Tommy Dreamer tombstone piledriving Francine right after yelling to the crowd, "E.C. F**kin' W!"

mmmmmm....beulah....ahem, anyway, has anyone seen the Rise and Fall of ECW? I want to get that. Too bad I'm poor.

I've been watching a lot of older wrestling lately cause I'm sick of seeing just WWE and I don't get the channel needed for NWA-TNA. I got the Ultimate Ric Flair collection, and I highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates good wrestling.

OMG THE ROCKERS REUNITED FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY :O

I think I had an orgasm watching that match.

i grew up watching AWA, and the "Midnight" Rockers were my favorites, even when they went to WWF. You have no idea how excited I was watching that.

lmao that's seriously how I feel! If I never see another wrestling match in my life, I don't care. I just saw HBK and Marty Jannety as a Team for the first time in what, 13 years? It was specfreakintacular!!!

I've recently learned the main event of TNA Lockdown will be a six-sided steel cage six-man tag team match, featuring Kevin Nash, DDP and Sean Waltman against Jeff Jarrett, The Outlaw and Monty Brown

Great...where the flipping heck is A,.J Styles? Why, he's wrestling Abyss, someone else who should be main eventing by now in a completly different match at the PPV.

ECW: One Night Stand

I know there's a Pro Wrestling thread, but that's usually just discussion on what happened on Monday or Thursday night.

Does anyone plan on buying this? I was really looking forward to it, but now that they're doing the Raw and Smackdown invasion angle, I'm less excited, but still hopeful that'll it'll be mildly entertaining. I used to love ECW, and I've even met Tommy Dreamer, so I got really pysched to hear about a reunion show. I just hope that if WWE management does insist on keeping up with this stupid invasion angle, that they keep to a minimum, and only do at one point of the show or something to that extent.

Er... Actually, the Pro Wrestling thread isn't limited to WWE. You can talk about ECW, WCW, OVW, TNA, USWA, and any other fed in there.

PAUL HEYMEN JUST SHOWED WWE HOW TO DO A F*CKING PPV CORRECTLY!

ECW!

ECW!

ECW!

ECW!

My god, that PPV was incredible, Mike Awesome stoile the show with his weapons encounter with Tanaka (Awesome Bomb and diving headbutt onto a table outside the ring), Sabu vs Rhyno was also a highlight, with Rob Van Dam cutting a promo that buried the WWE's handling of his characteer, he also manged to use a small version of the van daminator on Rhyno to help set up Sabus'; flying led drop onto a table for the win.

Tommy Dreamer's reunion with Buela in the tag team match was sweet, with both of them pulling a double DDT on the Dudleyz, The Sandman came out to his ACTUAL MUSIC, so did Tazz (the only WWE emplyoee to do so), choking out Angle.

Paul Heymens' promo held NOTHING back also

"Hey Edge, I got two words for ya: MATT-FREAKING-HARDY"

"Hey, J.B.L, the reason you were WWE Champion for a year, is because Triple H did'nt want to work Tuesdays"

Austin leading the brawl against WWE, and then beating up Bischoff, was expected, but it did'nt take anything away from the greatest PPV in years
