So that Tweet Rob Paulson tweeted a few days ago (then got deleted) means there is going to be a crossover episode in season 5 but this time with 80s Shredder, 80s Rocksteady and 80s Bebop.
I wonder if that will be a 2 part episode.

The only thing that left me confused was the ending. This took place just before Wormquake? Are they gonna touch upon that in the future, or are we just supposed to assume Tigerclaw kicked their asses & used Donnie's portal "gun" to get back home? Perhaps he brought it with him through the portal & that's what'll lead to the next crossover?

The question is, who would voice Shredder? I like Townsand Coleman and all, but his Shredder never really did it for me.

According to Rob Paulsen's deleted tweet (should be a picture in the season 4 discussion page), Kevin Michael Richardson is going to voice 80's Shredder.

The whole Krang being from the Nick universe thing was dumb, I thought. They made such a big deal over the 2D and 3D aspect being unique to the respective universes, but last time I checked Dimension X was always 2D in the Fred Wolf show. Then there's the matter of conflict with Invasion of The Krangezoids, but funnily enough this retroactively makes sense of Krang's flashback in Three Musketurtles.
Other than that shoehorn, I loved it. Not as epic as Turtles Forever, but hearing the voice cast again was beyond cool. An instant classic. |

So I haven't watched the episode yet but is really true that it depicts Krang as being one of the Kraang from the Nick show? If that's the case, how the hell do they explain all this then?
Spoiler:
Edit: And even ignoring that, why doesn't he look or behave like one of the Kraang? |

Btw there was a part in this ep when Donnie said they're gonna be stuck in the 2D dimension forever - the way he stressed on the word FOREVER made me feel it was a nod to Turtles Forever. Overthinking much?

When all the Turtles were in the 2012 Turtles lair, I think it was a couple of months before Annihilation Earth. When the 80s turtles returned to there Dimension and then the worm from Wormquake attacks, the 80s turtles Dimension time is different to the 2012 turtles Dimension time. So basically every time all the turtles were in 80s Dimension it was before Wormquake but everytime the turtles went to the 2012 Dimension it was after Wormquake but just before Annihilation Earth.

I would think Krang made his own version of Rock Soldiers (Out of spite? Because he thought he could do better?), and there's just two different things named Neutrinos, like how we have animals named the same thing but aren't the same type of animal. Like electric eels (which are knifefish) and moray eels (which are actually eels). The Krangazoids are already considered a massive knife to continuity, but I would say that they might be hyperdeveloped mutants, with their genes triggered to develop limbs and bodies that Utroms technically don't have, but lie extremely dormant. I wouldn't say hyper-evolved, because that's not how it works. If anything, Drakus fits into the picture far more than anything else here.

Rewatching the episode, I think Kraang Prime calls 80's Krang 'cousin'.
So 80's Krang is a Kraang, not the Kraang as in Kraang Prime. The 80's explanation is he was banished to Earth for war crimes. 2012 explanation is Kraang Sub-Prime banished him for messing things up. If you were 80's Krang you'd make up a story (I'm a space gangster) to cover you being a total screw up. That's how I make it work. I loved how they looped it in with Wormquake though. Tigerclaw was the cherry on top of the icing on the cake.
