As a matter of fact he did. In a fight with Green Goblin. That was the reason he stopped being Spidey.
Thanks. Its been a while and I only read a couple of Spider Girl trades but I was certain loss of the leg contributed to no more webswinging.

Yeeeaah kind of hard to keep a secret identity with an injury that glaringly obvious. Would have outed him pretty quickly. So he quit. Became a desk jockey with the NYPD if memory serves. Or some type of cop-related job.

Interesting. Wish I had been able to track down the rest of that series. I always enjoyed Spidey as an adult...
