Even without the unprovoked and baseless insults, you're still pretty far off. I still love TMNT, but saying you're pumped for a piece of sh*t is just jack-assery.

Well, I'm not gonna comment on Michael Bay because there are probably enough negative comments in this thread about him. Having said that, I would rather have a full CGI movie than a live-action movie where the actors 'interact' with CGI characters. I know a lot of people don't like full on CGI, but I personally don't mind. The men-in-suits with CGI faces sounds like the plan for me.

fixing the whole "looking at a golf ball" issue is easy.
just have the actor in a green suit and stamp the 3d model over him and his movements. |

Just superimpose the mockette over him. That would be an interesting method. Definitely cheap.

When I heard about this movie I was pretty stoked. Another tmnt movie live action movie, just what the doctor ordered! Some people dont like Michael Bay, I however am a fan of some of the things he can accomplish. Its hard to think of a better raw action packed movie maker than him right now

Clearly. TMNT Part 4 was a critical flop and a (deservedly) financial letdown.
You'll never see another full-on TMNT CGI movie. Ever.

It did feel like sort of cop out from doing a live action. So I think you're right, Andrew.

The CGI was very well done I thought, the movie suffered due to the halfbaked plot more than any visuals.

TMNT 4 marketing held it back more then anything else, and WB didn't consider it so much of a financial letdown as to not to go ahead and greenlight a CGI sequel. Last edited by Dragon Turtle; 06-25-2010 at 12:03 AM. |

I'd be willing to say that it's not probable that we'll see an entirely CGI turtle movie again, but make the claim that it's beyond the realm of the possible? That's bold, is what that is. (Especially seeing as we're to be expecting a CGI cartoon in the next few years.)

Michael Bay is not really in charge of the Turtles movie.... He is not the director. The thread title is irritating me.

most modern animated movies yes. Even when I enjoy the storyline somehow I can't get by how some CGI looks. TMNT was a hage concession on my part when it came out and I still disliked how some the turtles came out in certain times. And I couldn't stand the human characters at all. If CGI looked more like this: (warning some violence and nudity)
Spoiler:
I'd have more respect for, at least as far as human characters go. And yes I realize this is a game segment sequence, however I have scene CGI movies look like this.
