I used to be very unobservant before and broke my fasts out of laziness, but from last year I've felt much better keeping them.

It'll be a very special month and one that is holy for me and all the Muslims around the world.
I wasn't aware that you were Muslim, FWL. Good luck on the fasting and I hope you're able to do it.

Cooking for the Fam. I'm grilling out burgers ad BBQ ribs, corn on the cob, and even made home made ice cream ( cookies and cream! )

Thank you for your service all vets! Here's to my Dad, all my Grandpas and especially my mom's dad who died in action in Korea. Thanks for keeping us safe.

Had a bacon cheeseburger from Steak N' Shake and it was so awesome!

Yep, don't forget to remember those who served and died to protect us every day.

Well, work was a nightmare today, but at least our anniversary dinner was nice. The pot roast literally fell apart it was so tender, and the veggies were really good, too (a bit too much salt, but no biggie). And he made me a hot bubble bath when I got home, which was heavenly for my tired feet. Here's to 17 wonderful years, and hoping for many more!

Had a very nice, long 24+ hours with my boyfriend. Ending when I was invited to a graduation party by my parents.

Where I had three really good margaritas made by my mom. Maybe four? I don't know. Enough to be a little drunk.

Mother got me Burger King after going with her today to her one appointment and then waiting with her so long at the Med aid unit mentioned in the 'grind' thread.

Also the aid unit has big (2" ?) square character stickers at the check out counter... Maybe they're really intended for kids, but darn right I swiped a couple Turtle stickers.

I've finished my desensitisation program, so no more monthly injections, and no more expensive serums or specialist consults. Best of all, I no longer feel like I have the flu when there is grass or pollen in the air. I can stand to be in the same room as a cat for a few hours too, but that is a blessing and a curse.

This little article...

Quote:
http://www.shelbynews.com/news/artic...d81c47fb8.html

Shelby County children are in for a fun time when they go to Girls Inc. this summer.

This year’s summer camp schedule features a variety of fun themes for the girls that will have them traveling around the world, getting to know crime-fighting turtles and pampering themselves for a week with jewelry making and a fashion show.
Quote:
The week of June 12-16 is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles-themed, where the girls will devote each day to a different turtle.
Cute! So amongst all the stereotypical 'girl stuff' and other general camp activity themes mentioned in the article, they'll also have a TMNT week, a day each devoted to one of the Turtles. Kid me is a little envious! Kudos to Girls Inc., or at least an Indiana branch.

That's pretty awesome and just goes to show that TMNT is not for boys only. Good for them.

Got to take Dad outside so he's happy which makes me happy.

My sons have been watching the FW series. We found Season 2 in the value DVD bin at Walmart. They mostly watch in the car, so, they generally only get through the first episode or two.

In the first episode, Return of the Shredder, there's a scene where two punks hold up a grocery store. As we're checking out of a store today, my son quotes the robbers to the poor cashier. "Hey lady! Put all the money a bag!"

I quickly chastised him, and explained he was quoting a cartoon. We all got a pretty good kick out of it.

Now that's pretty funny even if it was a bit wrong.

Got to go grocery shopping which means time out of the house. That's a pretty rare thing so I enjoy it when I can.

Saw Wonder Woman earlier today, and got home in time to attend a memorial service for a friend (and our apartments' former maintenence guy) who recently committed suicide. It was nice, and I had a chance to talk to his mom, who also happens to be one of my regular drive through customers. Sad that he is gone, but I'm glad we were able to attend.
