Best TMNT Figure Since the Buyout

Hey all,

one of the most fruitful aspects of Nickelodeon buying the TMNT license has been the wave of figures, statues, and toys we've been receiving over the last five or so years. From Neca to Playmates (?), there has been
a wide selection of high quality turtle figures, showcasing different era's of the franchise. I'd like to know which one has, so far, been your favorite.

I collect very few figures/statues/toys, but I had to have one of the Neca 1990 movie figures, and went with Raphael. It's essentially the dream-figure I would have loved to own as a kid. Having it here and now ain't bad either. There are other's I'd like to have, like the Neca FW box set or the cancelled Eastman Threezero figures. And heck, I even think the Threezero Platinum Dunes figures are pretty cool, terrible movie aside. But for now, it's just Raph and I.

And as a sidenote: Do you see things slowing down or could the next wave of figure announcements be on the horizon?

Favorite figures over the past 5 years:
3 sets come instantly to mind.

In third place, the ThreeZero movie Turtles. Those are hyper detailed and really cool looking as a set on display.
In second place, the DreamEx range. Their unique mash up of styles created an awesome set of visually appealing Turtles, but their Shredder and Casey; classics!!

Number one release for me. The SDCC 2017 Neca Classic Turtles boxed set.
It is a box set that contains everything you want in a box set.
Although the contents (most of them) had been released previously in three very interesting box sets (the video game figures and the foot set), I found this set to be totally nailed. Love it.

Runner up set - the SH Figuarts Turtles.

That said, I have really enjoyed buying the basic Nick Playmates figures over these last 5 years.

NECA 1/4 scale movie figures, and the SH Figuarts turtles are my favorites. I also love the Gokin Krang android body, and the DreamEX Shredder.

I hope these high quality toys dont die off, cause they are awesome.

I'd say the NECA Henson turtles but they're not in a preferable scale so I don't own them.

Of what I personally have, I'm gonna go with the Revoltech Nick turtles. They feel a bit fragile, but you can't beat their look. 100% show accurate, bursting at the seams with personality, great accessories, etc. Very fun to pose & set up.

id say The Loyal Subject's Blind Bag figures. I got Donnie and Mirage Shredder and they are really well detailed.

I respect what FW cartoon did for the turtles franchise but it is the most overrated and hard to watch of the 3 turtles cartoons.

I wouldn’t mind if the NECA movie turtles were smaller. Here’s hoping we can get a 1990 film figure box set, similar to the Fred Wolf one.

Obvious answer... they finally arrived, i find it odd that nick bought license and suddenly we got movie turtles, mirage was so bad at licensing them? Not sure who is to blame for such long wait but its kinda obvious since now we have so many turtles figures in different styles that something was wrong with licensing and previous tmnt rights owners, so im happy
A LOT that nick bought the license.

Second are figuarts, im not a fan of neca wolf cartoon turtles because of the head sculpt, a bit too wide.

Nothing was wrong with Mirage, it's just that different iterations of turtles' rights were in the hands of their respective producers. Suddenly? It took a multi-billion dollar corporate enterprise 8 years to facilitate such things.

1/4 scale NECA figures are my favorites, so happy to have some figures that look like they jumped straight out of the 1990 film.

The NECA NYCC foot clan set is up there as well because I wanted them to be made for so long but never thought it would happen.

I totally agree with this. The 1/4 scale Movie turtles are the highlight of my collection by far.

I'd probably have to say:

NECA Mirage Shredder. Waited for what seemed like an eternity for him, and at one point looked like it was going to happen. So in the end, very pleased he was finally released.

Revoltech TMNT (can't really pick one, but if I had to then Mikey as he's my favourite Turtle, but Donnie looks great too).

Just to mix it up I'll pick a Playmates figure, possibly either Usagi or the original Mikey figure.

Other notable mentions, the 1/4 scale movie figures. I have Raph, they look great but I am more of a 4/5/6 inch figure guy. I also like the look of the Gokin Krang, but don't have him myself.

I think the 1/4 scale are simply breathtaking, I originally intended to only get one, that so happened to be Don as only he was the most obtainable to get hold of in the UK.

I was so shocked by how amazing and true to the movie it was, I got the rest. I already have said "no" to myself in regards to getting the Shredder and the foot, but no doubt when I see pictures of them, my mind will be changed

It would be NECA's Mirage villains box set for me. That line still remains my favorite toy line of all time, and finally getting the villains after so many years was pretty awesome.

Mondo's First Turtle is quite impressive too, and it's one of those things I never expected to see.

And definitely the 1/4 Movie Turtles. I've never seen them in person, as I currently don't have the space for such large figures, but they do look extremely cool in all the pictures. I too hope they get released in a smaller scale sometime in the near future.
