What bugged me (for every laugh I hear I shall kill you) is that the Turtles never ONCE tried to help Baxter. The toss-him-away-into-a-random-dimension strategy was all they ever used.

I thinkt he episode was "Landlord of the Flies", Donatello says "keep him busy, guys" then comes back with a portable dimensional gateway generator and just blasts him into another dimension.

Don: You're spending the 7th inning stretch IN ANOTHER DIMENSION!!!

Raph: How come he gets all the good lines?

Baxter: Noooooo!

The only reason I'm bringing up that line of dialogue is because I actually rememebr it froma decade ago and this may be my only cahcne to write it.

Anyway, aren't the Turtles pretty heartless? I mean, [i[killing[/i] the poor guy is one thing, but zapping him to some crazy dimension? That has GOT to suck. I mean, just look at some of the dimensions he got blasted to? There was the one inhabited by giant spiders (how he survived, I don't know) and then the worst one, the blue dimension that was pretty much just a 10' X 10' box (how he didn't starve to death, I don't know). I'm sure there were others, but that's all I remember.

Jesus, getting eaten by the Punk Frogs would've been a favor.
I NEVER SAW REVENGE OF THE FLY, but I READ THE EPISODE REVIEWS OF IT FROM www.ninjaturtles.com and they could have used the retromutegen ray to turn baxter back, and then baxter would have been sent to the asylum again, except under more secure lockup. Enter the fly was his last appearance as a human.

Yeah true true but at the time I am not sure if Don had that ray yet or not. I know he has the antimutagen ray in Red Sky but you never saw Baxter in Red Sky

Now back to the season 2 most fav ep, what was all of your most favorite eps of the eye of sarnoth saga, mine was curse of the eye because of the battle in taj mahal and baxter trying to betray shredder adn that wimpy blodget trying to get the helmet after vernon fired him for having the newsvan go into the water. I had seen the incredible shrinking turtles ep hundreds of times.

I hated Blodget or whatever his name was! He was soo annnoooying!! I like the monsters at the end that Baxter creates and you get to see Shredder's head without the full helmet!

Turning him into a fly really messed up his mind. Shredder easily can convince Baxter of anything. I don't think he was evil, but when he became a fly he was more gullible to evil notions put forth by Shredder.

The Frogs and Baxter never met, but that would have been one interesting episode. I wonder what that episode would be called.

I am not sure I can just bust out laughing seeing the frogs chase Baxter.

Yeah Curse of the Evil Eye is cool too...I personally like the nifty gun Baxter has that shoots out arms. But Baxter looks like a goofball with Shredder's helmet on. Face it, you have to be wearing the armor too for it to look cool.

Blodgett is a little weird, yeah. He kinda reminded me of the nerdy dude from Ghostbusters. Funny, at the end, he gets his job back, but we never see him again!

Yeah I couldn't stand him!
Almost as bad as that guy in the episode "Name that Toon."

Return of the Technodrome my first best.

Then my second best is Case of the Killer Pizzas. Good idea about aliens breaking out of eggs when the pizzas getting cooked.

3rd fav is between Eye of Sarnov and Enter the Fly. Season 88 was clever, having it's own mini series of 3 or 4 episodes within it about the eye of Sarnov!

Enter the Fly actually featured the twin towers in New York. The cartoon didn't usually show actual New York landmarks that often.

If they showed enter the fly 3 years ago they would have had to cut out the twin towers.

Good thing they showed the ep back in 1988 and last in 1996(which was when the series was taken off USA)

Well, the WTC towers were also involved in the season one episode "Hotrodding Teenagers From Dimension X", as the Technodrome was parked under the twin towers when they opened the portal to Dimension X.

Oh, and who can't forget that scene in "The Big Blowout" when Krang used the antenna from the south tower to open that super-sized dimensional portal?

I would say "Enter the Fly" for what was a pretty shocking twist by standards of the cartoon, all around good character interactions, and a really kickass battle at the end with pretty high stakes behind it (April being close to death).

Your past has come to haunt you, Cylons.

Shredder could've done more than blow up the Channel Six building. I don't mean as far as murdering Splinter, but think of the possibilities if censors were not an issue.

Shredder and Krang combined had the biggest arsenal of any villains in all of the cartoons.

I went with “The Mean Machines”. I always loved the part where the Turtles face off against the machines at the construction site and my current signature is taken from this episode.

Hilarious. Not my posts, but the other Raph/Attack my account got merged with when I came back.

I may not have been original back then, but I know the difference between "its" and "it's". #grammarnazi

Holy high school days, Batman.

While the Punk Frogs are my favorite allies I would argue that Enter: The Fly had a little of everything that made the 1987 cartoon so great. It also had real stakes involved.
