Best tmnt movie yet imo. Didnt care for a few of the nods thrown in there but the action, characterization, and bits toward character growth do more than make up for it.
Gotta say though, wasnt expecting a animated version to come around so soon that actually had blood in it but yay that it did! Finally some progress toward getting a darker, adult version.

1990 TMNT will always be #1 to me, but this was absolutely fantastic. Best TMNT movie since 1990. Only small problem I had was the way the Turtles looked. But it was so good I got over it very quickly. I will be buying this on Bluray because I will rewatch this many times.

I don't know who Bamtan is, nor does Google yield any results as to who Bamtan is. Who or what is is Bamtan? How does one beat Bamtan?

Am I reaching or was that one scene where one of the turtles throws a foot soldier toward the screen a nod to turtles in time? The way he looked while hurtling toward the screen look just like the video game.

So I just watched the “Suit up” trailer to this and loved the callback to the original TMNT opening with the guys on the rooftop in the same poses at back then!!

That was really good. Much better than I was expecting, actually. I'm glad they took time with the mutant Arkham inmates this time around, and I really hope this ends up leading to more movies of this caliber. My one complaint was that they kept mispronouncing Ra's Al Ghul, which wouldn't have been as annyoying if they hadn't pronouced it correctly a few times.

Watched it yesterday, really enjoyed it! It's probably the best on-screen-adaptation of the Turtles so far, it's the perfect balance between being serious and comedic. There are some serious fan service moments as well, which I certainly enjoyed. The Turtles' design aren't perfect though, I will never understand why this modern-day Donatello has to be tall and slinky, or why Raphael has to be big and square-shaped, but you get used to it quite quickly and we've seen far worse over the years. All in all I'm pleased with what I got, and I'm certainly hoping we get either a sequel or a standalone TMNT movie in the same style as this one.

Castle Rock reference
Was there a Castle Rock reference thrown in or would that be too much of a stretch? One of the actors is Noel Fisher...

Great movie.
Since the comics came out, I always hoped that they would follow through with a movie. Glad they did, and glad they didn’t disappoint on any level. Now, will they do another one next year? |

Despite his limited screen time, I love Baxter in this.

Finally watched it and liked it a lot even if I didn't love it. I'm a big fan of both batman and tmnt but as I've said in the past not a fan of these two crossing over with each other. Haven't read any of the previous crossovers but counting there's 4 and they're in injustice 2, the TMNT are no strangers to the DCU anymore.
As a batman movie it's fairly mediocre but as a TMNT movie it's fairly decent. Even with so many characters almost all got a small time to shine. You don't see the personalities of the turtles too much, especially Donnie/Raph but it's fine. The character designs worked much better in motion as well. Seeing the batman rogues mutated was actually much cooler than I thought and it worked really well. Shredder was simply badass, didn't like his voice, the other voices were good. Joker Shredder ending is not something I wanna see in a sequel but as an ending we don't see more of it's ok. I'd love a full series of TMNT with these TMNT and that Shredder, I feel an actual show could make use of the darker setting but at the same time let the turtles be a bit more light hearted without being in Gotham city. That design of Barbara Gordon would make the perfect April O'Neil as well. A Batman show with these designs would be fine but not my ideal. I do hope we get a Batman VS TMNT 2 down the line as I'd love to see more of this, maybe Batman going to NYC? |

Am I wrong to be surprised at how little discussion this garnered? I knew this place wasn't very populated these days, but this seems like a semi-noteworthy event for the TMNT compared to the amount of talk on here.
