Not super into the idea of dragons, but you can obviously make anything work, with the right amount of creativity.
I guess it just brings to mind a typical, bombastic, finale, which I suppose this book needs to be. That's what issue #100's are supposed to be, right? Oh well, I'm sure there will be a lot to love in this issue whether the dragon thing works for me or not.

Shame Mateus couldn't finish Shredder in Hell BEFORE #100.

Ah well. I'm sure the hardbacks will collect it in the proper order.

Given issue 101 seems like a somewhat clean slate with the chaos ended, I am still kinda sitting here baffled how they're going to wrap this all up in another 2 issues, even double length. Besides Bishop and Karai, (and Old Hob), the whole Rat King and Pantheon coming into play too...and we got 2 issues for this.

You're forgetting Leatherhead. And Bebop and Rocksteady. So, yeah, no way #101 is a completely clean slate. It'll be a breather arc, or several arcs, but the other conflicts will still be ongoing. The only threats the Turtles are pretty much guaranteed to take out until then are Bishop/Metalhead and Karai's Foot Clan.

Seems to be somewhat of a breather though, as you said, so most likely Karai and the Foot are being resolved either way. Bishop will probably just "retreat" again like he did after Burnow Island, but I still wonder how they'll handle Hun or Metalhead.

I see Bishop going to jail after the very public stunt he pulls on the mutated civilians in #99 and being inevitably exposed for who he really is inside that suit. Metalhead will likely be destroyed. Hun probably dies, there's not much more that can be done with the character and a war needs casualties.
