How do the Turtles use keyboards?
I mean, aren't their fingers too thick and few?

I've wondered. A keyboard is big enough that I imagine most versions can handle it, but either they never learned to type and stick with the two finger method or had to learn to compensate. (The PD guys however have big enough hands they probably just get frustrated and throw it across a room. )
Imagine trying to hit the apps and letters on smart phones nowadays with those chunky fingers (any TMNT version). Hard enough sometimes with my skinny hands. lol But at least in that case they could make use of the stylus. Bonus hands comment... I've always kinda laughed at the fact that they could never flip anyone off either. I mean, Are you trying to give someone the middle finger or just pointing up? |

How do the Turtles use cell phones and send out text messages with those big unruly fingers of theirs?
Perhaps Donnie made them so they work on Morse code, tap in the Morse code and the letters appear in screen... Nah that wouldn't work with Raphael who gets frustrated or with Mikey who would find a rhythm in the Morse code screwing up whatever message he was about to send. Now, I'm a guitar player and I wonder, how can Leonardo play guitar with those huge fingers of his? And for those who don't know, that particular guitar Leo plays here exists for real, it's a Rickenbacker 325 and it is seen here with its most famous user: John Lennon of the Beatles

I still have a little flip phone and each key has like three letters associated with it, plus a number, which is time consuming enough... morse code would be madness. Those poor guys. Definitely a wonky result of mutation that they lost digits in the process, considering their species of origin probably has the same number of digits we do. Hmm... In order to play Chopsticks on the piano, would they literally use chopsticks if the keys are too small? |

Krang was seen using his tentacles, usually when in his bubble walker, to activate pushbuttons of computers.

I almost feel like the turtles using chopsticks/wands or whatever is close to over thinking it. How can I take seriously that they can wield weapons with superior skill yet can't dial a phone number?

How often do you expect a talking turtle to use a phone?

How don't the Turtles die when the weather gets cold and they have to go out in the snow? I mean, they're reptiles. They have cold blood. Shouldn't snow and very cold weather kill them?

You would think so, or at least knock them out.
Personal opinion, but I've always just taken them to be moderately warm blooded (at least room temperature) since they can withstand the cold as well as humans. Esp based on the fact that just about every version is capable of sweating, so their system and flesh presumably has at least some degree of mammal-like qualities added in. On the same note, if they weren't like us in these ways and couldn't sweat then they'd also risk dying of the heat in the summer. I'm sure a nice cool liar underground is a plus, but can't stay down there forever. Last edited by IndigoErth; 12-15-2018 at 11:36 AM. |

They'd probably use touch-typing or specialized keyboards, the way most people would if they had missing fingers/MS/various disfigurements I've noticed as I went to google search parallel scenarios with humans. Because there ware probably plenty of humans who have missing fingers, stunted movement, conditions like ectrodactyly, complete Syndactyly and so forth, and thus would only be able to use three fingers instead of the full five.
Maybe they'd have something like this if they wanted to try something different Same going for Utroms. Who have also just used touch-typing when their own technology was unavailable.

lol So basically they type like my dad did.
Cool "keyboard" in that video, Utrommaniac, I could definitely see something like that being a good option for them. |

If we're throwing in a few extra random questions related to their physical form and function... What the heck do the skulls of the various versions look like?
Would be interesting to see a realistic lineup by an artist who's good at sort of thing and figuring it out. |
