Vintage Classic TMNT Chinese Cards

I came across and obtained a vintage Classic TMNT Chinese card set that hasn’t been cut yet. I’ve never seen a set like this.

Anyone know more background information about it?

Would anyone be able to translate the Mandarin text for me?

The pics can be found following this link:

https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8...2RnZHoyRWhfSHc

Thank you for any information you might have to help!

Ha! Yeah, they totally do! And were they colored with crayons? And it almost seems like there is some color bleeding...but I’m no artist who would confidently know something like that.

Thanks for sharing! I've seen a number of Chinese vintage TMNT stuff online over the years, and I do own a few of the exclusive comics. Most of the stuff isn't very good artistically and so much of it even makes me wonder if it was bootlegged. There are a TON of Chinese Turtles books and other things floating around out there. I'm not sure I'll ever see a complete catalog of everything being passed off as TMNT over there.

It's probably intentional. A lot of older, especially eastern, art is like that.

Thank you for the info! Very interesting! It’s actually my first set from China, so this is news to me! . It’s be really cool if someone could help me by translating the Mandarin to English for me so I/we can get know more about it too! Is there a way I could do it? Somehow take a pic with mobile device and it’ll auto-translate to selected language?

Awesome! Thank you for the info! Does is say anything about the name of the card game, or company, or year it was made?

Another Set!

So I came across another complete uncut sheet of vintage Chinese cards. They are actually playing cards.

https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...OwUxW3dRn0iZYq

Now I’m wondering...why is there a card with Robocop, and another with Captain America?!?!? LOL!

Looks like more Chinese intellectual property theft there... they've even included Ryu from Ninja Gaiden and Robocop.

Haha, everything TMNT out of China back in the 1990s was so delightfully boot-leggy!

Uep

Yep. Definitely bootleggy! LOL! There is no production company logo or anything either. They are pretty cool, though, in a fun way!

变形 = Shape Changing (Mutant)
忍者 = Ninja
神龟 = God Turtles
游戏 = Game
牌 = Cards

变形忍者神龟游戏牌 = Mutant Ninja Turtles Card Game.

If you google with the texts above, you can find other bootlegged card games like this ↓ LOL

Although not entirely the same, i remember seeing similar card games like this when i was little.
