I never played any of the Platinum Games games before, well actually Star Fox Zero, since Platinum Games had a hand in it.

Bayonetta 1 and 2 is on Wii-U. They also worked on Metal Gear Rising, Vanquish, etc.

You only get the true ending if you beat it on the hardest difficulty?

Whoops, deleted my previous post.

If you see the turtles dodging an attack in time, that's a Bayonetta move which automatically triggers a slow-mo called Witch Time. |

So the criticised frame rate and level design aren't an issue for people here who have played it?

- I have no problem with frame rate tbh, very smooth and pretty bug free as you can see from my recordings. The animation is a big plus, they move really nice.
- Level design is pretty linear but so is the 2k3 games in PS2 era. Basic fighting/exploring genre stuff. - 2k3 games have way better story (of course they do cause they were lifted off the animated series). The story/script in this game is a bit stiff in comparison. - They have rare items/pickups (i.e. comic book covers) so that's rewarding for people who likes to explore off the usual routes. |

I had zero frame rate issues and so did my friends.

I'm not a frame rate snob either, even though it does enhance my experience on sports titles or fast reaction games like Sonic the Hedgehog. I do think it is curious that the more advanced software and hardware get, the more likely it is that game developers have to cut it down. Mario Kart 8 nailed 60fps while many notable Xbone and PS4 titles had to scale it back. Even the little ol' Dreamcast could clock out at a consistent 60fps on some titles.
I think the knock on this TMNT game is that the development team went on camera and said they didn't want to do split screen play because the frame rate would have to be reduced, and yet... it was reduced anyway.

I have it on Steam for my PC and have had Zero issues. Runs smooth and plays great. I have been having a blast with the game.

I'm casual and I'm little disappointed about the game. The objectives are boring and redundant. I don't know why people hate Out of the shadows but I like this game and for me it's better (and cheaper) than PG TMNT.
I'm stuck at Wingnut. This ***hole is hard and I play in easy. I want to finish the game offline once and then try to finish it online in hard but the fight against Wingnut is so frustrating. I think I should do this level online because I can't beat him with this stupid AI turtles.

I heard the game is much better in online co-op because the AI Turtles don't work well with the game.

But you must finish the story mode alone?

Its too bad there is no local co-op. People have forgotten what it was like when you played multiplayer with friends on the couch rather than online.

That doesn't mean you can't do the whole thing online. I did with friends.
