yeah, that is the main reason I don't like to do international. If there's no proof I'll be screwed

This really doesn't extend to the secondary collectors market. Especially of American driven brands. There are plenty of collectors state side for me to never have to ship internationally.

well, there are still plenty of reasonable sellers in the States willing to sell internationally, so it's ok. but it still pisses me off, that some US sellers think they're too good to sell internationally

No it's just more trouble then it's worth. I wouldn't feel like having to go through the trouble of shipping a box to another country. Also packaging correctly so it doesn't get messed up while it goes from car to customs to airplane to car and so fourth.

I don't sell but that would be my policy. If international people want to buy stuff then buy it online from their dealers or from US stores online, they have the same stuff. Unless it's super old or rare and even then there's stores that have that stuff. Also the exchange rate for our country is mostly ass so it's in international buyers favors depending on where they live.

Since I live in Europe and there are hardly any TMNT stuff sold here, I buy all my items from Ebay.com. If people don't want to ship outside of the US, no problem, I totally understand. If there is an item that is only shipped national, I send an e-mail to that person and ask politely if they would please ship international. Usually they do that then. (It does help that my feedback on ebay is 100% positive)

I was excited about this
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=400047192115

Some ass put their max bid way too high. Now they have the pleasure of paying for it. In one minute it went from 20 bucks to almost 60.

It doesn't pop up as often as the first portfolio does so I guess people go ape **** when they see it or something. Honestly I didn't wanna pay more then 25 for it, that's what I paid for the first one, but I get competitive towards the end of an auction. Plus once I bid past 40 I knew they set their max bid way high. So scornfully I bid some more.

why should i have to buy from online retailers, or as you put it, US stores online, when it costs more to buy from them then from ebay? how the heck does that make sense? i'd rather buy from ebay where i might be able to get a good deal, and not get ripped off

that is a bold statement, but also a lie. in most cases it works against international buyers as we end up paying twice as much sometimes

Depending on what you want Ebay is not always the best deal. Ebay sellers rip people off more then anyone.

I actually had a guy I bought an item from today refund my money and apologize for not actually having the item I bought off him. This is after his auction claimed he had 5. Any professional store will keep inventory up to date on their site and you can avoid crap like that.

I've yet to see that happen. I buy stuff from Australia because the exchange rate is in my favor and I get good deals. If I lived in Europe I'd buy from the US because European currency for the most part is worth twice the US dollar.

What's the character's origin? Was it actually in any stories?

No none, he was just made for fun I think. I have all the comics the turtles have been in, unless there's some I don't know about, and I've never seen him. I think that print was offered on a T-shirt you could buy through mail order as well as the PJs I had as a kid in the 90's. It was ever only that picture though. I bet he was a rejected toy design.

while that is true about some ebay sellers, it's not true for all. i find some better deals on ebay sometimes, then online retailers. especially on older/vinatage items

really? that might be true for you buying from Australia, but that isn't the case for all International buyers. try buying stuff, anything, from the States if you lived in Canada, cause it seems the exchange rate works against Canadians more and more, cause our dollar is worth less than the US dollar.

Yes! But shipping cost are higher if I buy in the US ebay than Spanish ebay. And some sellers abuse with the shipping costs, charging $30 for 1 blister...

I prefer US sellers ship internationaly, because I only could complete my TMNT toy collection with US products, among other motives.

My problems with shipping international is, one I don't have the exact weight and size of box of the item(s) I am shipping, I am not going to pack up EVERYTHING in hopes that it will definitely sell, so I am stuck to estimating. I tell int buyers this, than they are shocked when I actually do pack it up and find out what shipping actually is, I have had many buyers not pay, and some even leave negative feedback...why because I am trying to ship something to you that you bought?? I don't set the postage prices.

Two, I have had more complaints outside of the US than inside, I try and pack as best I can, but international shipping takes much longer and gets thrown around alot more, things get damaged. And sorry to Canada, more so in that country, sure I have had good transactions, but it seems like alot of complainers in our brother up north.

Three, paperwork isn't difficult, but I have a post office that likes to stay EXTREMELY busy, I ship all my items using paypal, so all I have to do is drop them off, I unfortunetly have never had any luck with the international label system, so I always have to stand in line for 20-30 minutes.

To me just not worth it, if they contact me prior and accept my terms and I am able to ship fedex (claims are alot faster as well) I MAY consider it, but for a fast transaction I state no int buyers.

it is just something that I came to after 15 years, as much as I like people bidding on my items, I always cringe when they are international, just more to worry about.
