Fan club & 2k3 introduction mini comics
Since these can't be purchased or really found even I though I'd scan em so everyone can enjoy! I would imagine alot of people havent seen the 2k3 comic... At my local TRU in 03 or 02 they were giving away foxboxes with sticker sheets, & comics and all this cool stuff promoting the kirby show & tmnt etc.
Heres 2k3; I think Dooney did it.

Yeah in the 2k3 they look to be Dooney's work. Awesome. Who did the interior art for the Fan club comic?

I'm not sure, it doesn't say. Its reminiscent of eastman somewhat. Only thing I am sure of is that this was the same person who drew the origin panel on the backboards of the 88 toys.

I want them both sooo bad.
Got a thing for these random mini comics at the mo. Just got a 'Warriors of the Forgotten Sewer' mini comic the other day - its nuts. Story's a bit crap, but the art is by Dan Berger (uncredited - but it looks very 'Berger' to me) and is pretty great. Anyone know if there were any more of these? It just ends with "The Quest Continues", but I dunno if there were more issues, or if the kids who got the toys had to continue it themselves...

We (and I say "we" because I don't recall who specifically asked whom) asked Kevin and Peter about this some time ago. According to them, that art was not done by anyone at Mirage. Chances are it was farmed out to an external artist or done by a forever nameless marketing slave!

Angles are considerably easier to animate consistently than curves, so that's probably the main reason. Especially since the budget for the first few seasons was fairly high for a Saturday morning kid's show.

This thread's too awesome to go idle so to contribute:
Still trying to find a copy of #1 (anybody?), but I scanned #2 & 3 of the old cereal mini-comics-- I knew there was a reason I had this flickr account! Mini-comic #2: http://www.flickr.com/photos/4930978...7625811127045/ Mini-comic #3: http://www.flickr.com/photos/4930978...7625936731450/ the Turtles! Casey Jones! Man Ray! Wingnut! Fly Baxter?! I forgot how great these were. It reads like a mash-up of the Archie series, the cartoon, and the toy line. Casey Jones must've made the cut based on the first movie... Shredder in a giant Mouser robot. Wingnut as a henchman. ...and is this the only appearance of the Mutant Fly Baxter Stockman in a comic book? Such a cool design. Man, I really want to add #1 for the set. Last edited by wilddiverse; 01-30-2011 at 04:20 AM. |

Awesome!
I think I asked if anyone had the cereal comics a few pages back. Thanks for uploading the last two of em. Good luck finding the first one. |

Why are all instances of Mouser in the minis specific in calling it a "Mouser Robot"?
