not exactly, there are no brick building system with Minimates, it's just blocky action figures.

They also have done a lot of stuff with them.... DC Comics (though sadly were halted by DC because they didn't sell well enough) Marvel Comics and Movies (which has been their longest going line in the Minimates brand) Lord of the Rings Thundercats Back to the Future (even did a few versions of the car) Ghostbusters (both the movies and even the animated Real Ghostbusters) The Walking Dead Star Trek (all of the stuff, but mainly the Original Series) Knight Rider The Munsters Universal Monsters Tomb Raider Battlestar Galactica (modern and classic) Street Fighter Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Rocky Terminator 2 And aside from the upcoming TMNT, which I'm pumped for, Aliens, Kill Bill, and Pulp Fiction are also getting Minimates. Here's a website that shows every single figure that's been made to date... http://www.minimatedatabase.com/default.php I actually have high expectations for the TMNT Minimates given how if you look at the Marvel Comics ones and how they evolved and became so detailed and awesome. Seriously, I gave up collecting Marvel Legends years ago because the Minimates are so much cooler with all kinds of classic looks for characters with options. Here's a few really cool ones to show off what I mean.... http://www.minimatedatabase.com/figu...?i=1671&n=Hulk http://www.minimatedatabase.com/figu...458&n=Colossus http://www.minimatedatabase.com/figu...nvisible+Woman http://www.minimatedatabase.com/figu...med+Spider-Man |

looking at the existing Minimates, I don't see any appeal in buying these...but I guess I'll see how the TMNT ones look.

I believe that Star Wars are also being made!!!
If you're a huge Disney fan, they also made some great Peter Pan ones.

As for Minimates in general, I just don't see the appeal of blocky figures. |

Just ordered my series 2 figs! Ended up ordering the brothers, Casey, Karai (of course!), and Splinter. Also ordered another Series 1 Mikey for his chucks while I was at it. Really dont like those series 2 ones...

The only big problem I have with series 2 is that Spike has no face printing and it looks bad , while the chucks don't look as good as they did before they have better posing options.

Hey all,
My series 2 are on the way, but I thought l'd post a couple shots I took from my series 1 minimates. I did pick up Shredder too, but I just photo'd the brothers. I intend to pick up April and some Foot clan in a couple months, when I have some extra cash. Looking forward to messing around with my series 2 minimates! |

Hope they make the LARP turtles in S4, along with stockman fly with mousers, Leatherhead, Tigerclaw and Dr. Tyler (monkey brains)Rockwell. Then maybe Renet for the exclusive to set up S5 with the space turtles! Even though a Metalhead would be so cool!

Oh yeah and save Rahzar for when they introduce Tokka into the show. I really hope that they do it soon. Can't wait for the next series to be announced!

Working on Series 4 and 5 now, and they will at least partially cover Season 5.
We may also see the return of the highly sought-after Kraang. |

It's not highly sought after. You just completely f'd it up to the point where only some of the people who wanted it could actually locate and purchase one at MSRP. That's not high demand. That's extremely short supply. But thank you for giving me a reason not to collect your line. If you're going to take a terrible decision and rephrase it as HOT COLLECTOR ITEM! like it's something to be proud of, I'm done with you. Don't even bother replying. Save your smug replies for the Multiverse. |
