'You own this NFT image! people will have to pay you to use it'
is the main reason why I hear NFT's are a good thing. But, I could save that image. use it, and not pay a thing. seems like a flawed scam to me.

One thing I really hate about the modern digital world is that it's becoming harder and harder to make "screencaps" of digital media. Many web browser have disabled the "Print Screen" key from being able to capture a still image of any major streaming websites. I think with the NFT obsession IP holders have, that will just complicate things further.

Did Lionsgate lose the license or something?
Thought it might be worth mentioning that the official digital purchases pages for the classic series on AmazonPrimeVideo and YouTube have seemingly been de-listed, with a "not available to watch in your location" notice: https://www.amazon.com/gp/video/deta...Ww7ru2fTBzCCEE https://www.youtube.com/show/SCH2xRjubH52XEyc56kGTnGQ Looks like it is still active on iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/tv-seaso...sons-in-series Google Play only had the first two seasons but doesn't look like they are available for purchase there eithier: https://play.google.com/store/tv/sho...US&gl=US&pli=1 I own each season on VUDU Fandango already, so I'm not sure if it's still "purchase-able" there.

I thought for a while that Lionsgate owns the right to the show but I don't know. I read somewhere that either Saban Brands or Hasbro, who now owns a majority of Saban's IPs, currently own the Next Mutation. Does Paramount own the rights to the 90s films and TMNT 2007?

well looks like this project is pretty much guaranteed to happen in the next year or two as long as a fan puts in the work. The tools to do it already exist and do a near perfect job, hell you'd be able to argue they'd be able to recreate it better than the aging VAs who can't sound exactly like they used to, but AI can.
Not even 10 years, we can already make text to video so we're talking in the next 5 years this will be a reality. And I mean something of actual quality, since it's already technically possible right now, it's just a bit early but AI improves exponentially. |
