LOL my friend Mark said the same thing. That is really my only concern with Bay, if he chooses to help cast horrible teeny bop actors/actresses.
Meghan Fox for example, is merely eye candy. She can't act worth a damn. Shia Lebeuf? OKAY at best. He's mediocre.

I disagree, the transformers movies are horrible, bad story, plot holes big enough for a blue whale to swim through, stupid writing, bad characterization.
The robots looks impressive from a animator and a modeler's perspective, but they are generic and messy to look at. and it's difficult to see who's who in the fight scenes. The robots had no personality, in bayformers story they learned from the internet how to behave among humans, in other words Optimus Prime is not the heroic leader willingly to sacrifice himself for greater good, he just read about it on Google. boring human characters, they had too much screen time. Megan Fox nor Shia Leblouf can't act, even if they'd had a gun at their head. and I am so happy I never saw the movies in the cinema or have payed money to see them in general. And I'll never see Bayformers 3 in the cinema either |

I had seen this other comment:
"El guión será escrito por John Fusco (Young Guns, Hidalgo, The Forbidden Kingdom) bajo la production de Scott Mednick, Galen Walker y el director de la película original, Steve Barron." Translate: "The script will be written by John Fusco (Young Guns, Nobleman, The Forbidden Kingdom) under the production of Scott Mednick, Galen Walker and the director of the original movie, Steve Barron." Is it right???? Script by John Fusco..?? Last edited by Luzmagica; 05-28-2010 at 02:37 AM. |

Rumours/news growp up so fast!!!... ...Traslate new...
""John Fusco (" The kingdom prohibited ", " Oceános of fire ", " Young weapon ") will take charge of the script of " Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ", the new movie in real images of the Tortoises Ninja. The scriptwriter is been charmed with by the fact that they have contracted him for this assignment, since he is a lover of the martial arts, since he practises them from 12 years. His intention is to count to us the origins of these prominent figures and to incorporate elements of the cómics of Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman that, as far back as 1983, supposed the point of item for the success of this exemption. Scott Mednick y Galen Walker Mirage Studios will produce the movie across his company, whereas the mentioned Laird, Gary Richardson, Frederick Fierst, Eric Crown and Napoleon Smith III will be executive producers. At the moment, no producer has compromised himself with this project, in the same way as there does not exist a study of Hollywood that endorses it. Of all forms, this weekend there will begin the casting of the specialists who will be employed at a tape that will come to our screens in 2011. The previous full-lenght films based on the adventures of Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael collected more than 300 million dollars in the whole world."" No productor yet??...whatabout Paramount/Bay?? ¡¡¡¡¡??? This weekend casting???? !!!! WOW!!!!! |

I will give this movie a chance if it follows through. Sure there is bad movies out there and some of them looked like it was made just for marketing but, maybe this time we'll see another dark gritty film but with heart to it like the first movie.
Most films now that are for kids have pushed further than it did before. Back then PG to us was like PG-13. There was violence, language, and very dark/emotional levels. Now when I went to see The Dark Knight and Terminator Salvation, I seen kids there with their parents. I was thinking to myself "I never seen a PG-13 movie when I was their age". |

Everything you mentioned was inaccurate due to being very out of date, old, to put it simply. The only truth is that John Fusco is the writer. Richardson/Laird no longer have anything to do with it, we have our producers & as far as the publics knowledge is concerned, no casting has been noted yet. The information you have is likely from last summer & if not, whoever posted it is quite out of touch.

This is really good news. I just hope the movie doesn't turn out like transformers 2, ugh!

I am a good person. I try not to harm others. I don't go to church, but come on, do I really deserve this crap?
MICHAEL FREAKING BAY?????!!! DAMN. What were the odds? Of course the idea of having him involved in a future TMNT film crossed my mind before. AS A JOKE. And Jesus Christ people you are fast. I just read the news in Geekweek and when I come here the thread already has 5 pages. Probably someone has said it before, I haven't read the whole thread so excuse me if I'm going to reiterate something. I don't like Michael Bay as a director, but looking at this news' bright side, he'll just produce. Often times you don't get a feel of the producer in the end film. Take for example Steven Spielberg. I think we can all agree that he's a good director, right? And yet he produced the Bayformers films. Which do not feel like a Spielberg movie at all. So we may get lucky in the end. |

You and me both! Good to know there's that much more of a chance that this movie will be PG-13 (not a one of Bay's production credits on IMDB has a PG or G rating, though some have no rating cuz they're made-for-video documentaries). But, if they eff it up with sex/drug/racism humor, I'll wish they had gone for PG again.

Also random: But is anyone else catching a Deja vu vibe here? If memory serves when New Line made the first Turtles movie the only property they had bringing home the bulk of their bacon was the "Nightmare on Elm Street" series.

I just read the rest of the thread. I'm a little shocked to see all the Bay love in here, heh. I feel so out of place.
Hmm. Judith Hoag had a small part in Nightmare on Elm Street. Another shred of hope. Imagine if the scrap the reboot angle and make this a direct sequel to the first movie, with Hoag and above all, Elias F%cking Koteas. I'd cry of joy. And eat roaches as Powder once said. |

Wow... this is just sad. Michael Bay + Platinum Dune. Could we possibly get a worse combination?

Cameos would be most excellent though unlikely. I said I would eat roaches?! Oh noes! I remember saying I'd eat dirt... I could never chomp a roach. EW.

I can't help but think this is horrible news. I haven't liked anything that "platnium dunes" has touched. They managed to screw up ANOES. Apparently destroying everything that our generation grew up on is just inevitable and going to happen, in our lifetime.

Michael Bay will have little to nothing to do with the actual film - he rarely has anything to do with the Platinum Dunes flicks. Personally this has killed all my excitement for it, in my opinion PD have managed to get one decent film out there (Texas Chainsaw remake) - they really don't have a clue.

That's all I need to hear. Sold. I've enjoyed all of the Platinum Dunes remakes and most of Bay's projects. I like a lot. Quote:
