An Ultimate Collection just for covers? What. I think I'll pass on that.

Same. After Volume 5, it's just been... weak.

Why make this part of the UC HC?!
At least throw in a couple of short stories to make this more appealing, and the worst thing is that my OCD will bother me to no end if I don't get this...

Good! Just not for me. But... weren't most of those in ShellShock already?

Makes sense from a marketing standpoint. Completionists more likely to need #7 than want a random book of cover reprints. Seems like anything done by Eastman & Laird together is falling under this "Ultimate" banner. Can't wait to read Laird's blunt and uninspired commentary on something as simple as covers.

many were from Shell Shock, though there were a handful of others that weren't.

i also enjoyed seeing the larger printed art.

i guess they cancelled the Mirage covers book just so they could print it as an "ultimate edition" book?

Seems like it... Here's hoping that it at least contains some actual comics, or that the next one is a B&W reprint of Tales Volume 1.

i'll more than likely get it, because i was really looking forward to that covers book.
still i would have preferred it be it's own thing instead of being lumped in with the Ultimate edition.

Yeah I don't get it, they could release Volume 2, or they could start with Tales of, and yet they chose this? Why? Yes, completionists will get it just because it's part of the UC (I know I'm weak and I'll be one of those) but I don't see this selling more then if it was Volume 2 instead for example...

Good that they're finally ending this reprint series.

Agreed! Now they can get back to collecting the Tales issues and then on to Laird’s volume 4

I'm hoping for an HC release of these myself afterwards, they can even do it while doing the rest of Tales (too soon for Volume 4 IMO, let them release Volume 3 first).

So they didn't collect Year of the Turtle, disappointing.

Isn't that technically a different series?

I wouldn't be surprised if they collected a bunch of the 2/3 issues micro series ones.

TMNT Special 1-11 in hardcover might be cool. I think it’s 11 anyway?

Not really, it was also the last story Archie published. But maybe they will collect some of the specials in separate volumes.
