RIP Richard Hatch (Apollo from 70's Battlestar Galactica)

Goddamn, I just rewatched this series last November. Apollo of Battlestar Galactica is gone. He was only 71.

Richard was a real crusader, long before the BSG reboot came along he constantly fought tooth-and-nail to get it back on tv or made as a movie, developed his own pitch pliots for it and wrote loads of novels and comics based on it. Tireless workhorse. So glad he was rewarded with a role in the reboot

I have more of a connection to Richard Hatch than I do a bunch of folks who live in Arkansas. Just as I'm sure there's someone famous who the surviving family members of those folks in Arkansas have more of a connection with than me.

It's all relative, and it does no one any good to belittle the grief of others.

I took it as less of Jester marginalizing any actual grief, and more of him criticizing cubed for being meme-y about it.
